The GE250 is seriously shaking up the entire competition! One of the best platforms ever made for the money! The original presets are awesome and tons of room for editing.
This is surprising never thought multi effect pedals can sound good and be versatile. It gives something to think about whether to invest to buy a multi effect pedal like moeer or buy my first tube amp.
Nah it's £400! I thought it'd be much much cheaper considering Mooer's stuff tends to be cheap. For that money you can get a proper Line 6 Helix Stomp which is a way more professional piece of equipment than just a multi effects thing to dick around with. If was ever going to get a multi effects stompbox I'd just go with the Boss ones. For professional recording stuff, Line 6 is probably the best at that really low price range end of it with the line 6 Helix Stomp at around the same price range as this thing, £400 or so. It's not gonna come close to the ones that cost £2000 but then those literally are actual professional grade devices, not really meant for bedroom guitarists.
For anyone wondering. Using third party IRs can make a huge difference for the sound of the GE pedals. Especially if you're looking for the metal distortion. Pretty much everybad sounding GE metal clip uses the built in cabinet simulation witch can't compare to third party impulse responses for metal.
@@j.pabloquinche3283 you can buy it on amazon, it's under 500 dollars, an free shipping, it easy, llega a todos los paises de latino america, de que pais eres?
Is it possible to get decent sound out of this through PC speakers (using with software as interface, or straight headphone jack)? I'm planning to buy one of this for bedroom practice but I don't have a cab or amp yet.
Question : What do you see the advantages of the FX Loop which is not on the HOTONE or HX Stomp? I could see adding in separate FX/stomp boxes and placing them in the chain pre or post amp, right?
I 'think' the boxes that would be great in the loop would be delay's and maybe chorus and flange. Distortion probably would be better in the chain, I guess that isn't an option. I may get this, the preset quality seems pretty reasonable.
I don't think it can match it since it doesn't have impulse responses. They're critical for getting a good sound. But with every piece of gear if tweak ot to your taste you'll get something great.
Can someone tell me what the phaser effect is in this unit? Is it a phase 90? Can you make sound close to a univibe? I really want this unit but my favorite mod effect is Univibe and I use it a lot. This unit doesn’t have Univibe but you can get close with a phase 90. I can’t find any demos showing the phaser sound.
He probably connected a Guitar to the input jack and then used the output jack to record the signal. All gear was connected with cables, as far as I can see.
@@dancrowell2933 ..and that's why I listened all the way through, I thought it was interesting how different some of the presets sounded with different cabinets, I'm impressed.
I don't understand why these units do not have the 2 x tube preamps of the late 90's units. I own a Digitech 2112 SGS there is nothing like it, not even the damn AXE FXII that I tried at the store comes close. Digitech used to be the forefront of FX units with the GSP 2101, 2112 and the 2120. Nothing comes close to the FX units with the preamp tubes in them. This push for thin as a paper means crap sounding. There is also the problem of all these units is the delay of the AD_DA converters. Yes there is dry latency with is pathetic in my opinion.
Probably because it's not the preamp that makes it "thin". If you put these into a tube poweramp, it breaks down the wall. The preams give the basic character of the sound, which is already there. Poweramp gives it volume and "push".
@@spyware1100 The 2112 SGS came with 2 -12X7 Preamp Tubes from Sovtek. The tubes in the 2101 preamp were even better the Ruby versions. If you hook up these units to a Solid State Power amp into a 4X12 setup as Stereo Left and Right OMG the sounds out of this thing is stunning. I have this unit running into a Rockvile REq15 then into a Rockville Solid State Power amp into a 4x12 Cabinet setup in stereo. The 2112 has been running since 1997-2021 they don't build things to last anymore.
@@spyware1100 Yep, the older units with the tube preamp have a very distinct warm sound, it's too bad that they won't put them in anymore as the all in one units have now been separated into sectional units.
This does sound really good- but for the same price, you could buy and Hx Stomp. There’s no denying the HX stomp is way above this pedal. So price for the Mooer ge250 is a real deal-breaker
@@punkpop101 LoL, good one. While it is possible to get Digital to not sound brittle, the sound it makes on this demo, is brittle in the extreme. But if that suits you, enjoy it for all it's worth.
