ഒരിക്കൽ പോലും കണ്ടിട്ടോ കേട്ടിട്ടോ പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു സ്ഥാപനത്തെ പറ്റി ഓർത്ത് എനിക്ക് പോലും ഒരു വിഷമം തോന്നി. അപ്പോ ആ owner ടെ അവസ്ഥ എന്തായിരിക്കും അല്ലേ.

In my opinion this vlog is rated as the best one👍🏻. Though I don't understand Malayalam completely , I can understand the emotions the owner has. I have never been to this place but feel very sad after knowing the BESTOTEL is going shut down permanently (As I am a foodie too like you) !!

MBBS ന് കോട്ടയത്ത്‌ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ മിക്കപ്പോഴും പോകുമായിരുന്നു... ഇനി ഇല്ല ന്ന് കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഒരു സങ്കടം..
ഇതുവരെ എത്രയെത്ര മനുഷ്യരുടെ രുചിമുകുളങ്ങളെ ത്രസിപ്പിച്ചു....!, അതിനിയില്ലെന്നത് ഒരു വലിയ ശൂന്യത തന്നെയാണ്. 100 കൊല്ലങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം ഉള്ള തലമുറക്ക് ഇന്നീ അടച്ചുപൂട്ടൽ ഒരു കഥയാണ്., അതു തന്നെയാണ് ഈ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കലിന്റെ ആത്യന്തികമായ വൈകാരികത..

കുട്ടിക്കാലത്ത് മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെ കൂടെ കോട്ടയം ടൗണിൽ വന്നാൽ ബെസ്റ്റോട്ടലിലെ ഊണ് , അഭിലാഷിലെ മാറ്റിനി, ആനന്ദിലെ മസാലദോശ ഇതായിരുന്നു പതിവ്. Nostu 😘

ഇത്പോലെ നാളെ ഇല്ലാതാകുന്ന പാരമ്പര്യം ഉള്ള ഒരുപാട് ഹോട്ടലുകൾ കേരളത്തിൽ ഉണ്ട്. ഇവിടെ കിട്ടുന്ന രുചികൾ ഒന്നും തന്നെ ഇന്നത്തെ മോർഡേൺ റെസ്റ്റ്വാറന്റിൽ കിട്ടില്ല.

I've had the pleasure of having conversations with Mr. Gopalakrishnan, when I visited his hotel on multiple occassions a few years back. To my surprise he had even recollected my name after 2 years since my first visit. A very distinguished gentleman, I must say. Sad to see him winding down the restaurant business. He indeed leaves his legacy for Kottayam.
