I pray the rosary every day. I have a lot of trouble concentrating. I have Parkinson's and dementia. Please pray for me so I could concentrate on the mysteries. Thank you.
Keep trying to pray the rosary as per normal, but now when you encounter difficulty or feel stress or frustration, dedicate that difficulty to God. The stress you feel is essentially a form of suffering, and so can be offerred up. Doing this might actually make your prayer more meritorious than it would be without the suffering. Suffering, if approached in the right way, can sanctify us.

Saying the Our Father and Hail Mary prayers very slowly with my eyes closed has helped me tremendously to meditate on the mysteries. Also in the Hail Mary, when you say the Holy name of Jesus, I pause and say something to remind me of the mystery: Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Hi Sisters! I left the Catholic faith at age 14 (dropped out of Confirmation class) and at age 27 I am going through RCIA to complete the process. My husband has even decided to fully convert alongside me after experiencing his first mass this past March! I wanted to share a miracle that has happened in my life. I was told in February of this year (2024) that I was not able to have children and my doctors were in the process of getting me set up to have a total hysterectomy at age 26. This is actually what brought me back in through those church doors. I felt I wasn't ready to take Eucharist again until the weekend of May 25th, 2024. I had doctors appointments afterwards and was told there was no concern for pregnancy still and we had scheduled my surgery for July 12th. However, after coming home from Sunday mass June 30th I just felt that I had to be pregnant. I took a test... and it was positive! I couldn't believe it so I took another. That one was also positive. That next Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, it was discovered that not only was I pregnant: I was 7 weeks along. If you track 7 weeks back from that day where does that land us? The week I took Eucharist for the first time in 12 years. While the medical team around me proclaimed it a medical miracle I truly believe that there was intercession involved as well. Only those who know the true meaning and power behind the Eucharist seem to understand me when I say that Jesus truly truly blessed me and my husband in what seemed impossible. Praying the rosary has been very comforting for me throughout this time and now it just feels like despite feeling for 12 years I was lost I have now been found. God bless!

It does not matter whether joyful, sorrowful, glorious, or luminous mysteries. I cry. For me, I do put myself in the place of Our Lady who is a mother just like me, except she is the mother of our Lord and Savior. Mother Mary has been my friend and confidant since I was 13 years old. Not only is the rosary a beautiful prayer, it is also very powerful. I keep a rosary in my home and in my car. I often pray the rosary while driving. Peace & Love!
Now in my 60's and returning to the Church....the Rosary broke a decades long addiction that I couldn't shake. Nothing worked but praying the Rosary finally, I repeat finally, freed me from that slavery. Amen.
Me too. I had an addiction to pornography for DECADES...until I had an NDE that terrified me. My priest got me to do 2 things: begin professional counseling to understand the how any addition works, and to pray the rosary daily. It took me a few months to really get it to be a regular part, as I would do it for a few days, then slip a day, etc. Once I started seeing the effects, improvements that I could not attribute to anything else, I was hooked. It has changed my life, and in many more ways than just the addiction.

I’m 72 and recently started learning how to pray the rosary. Also a cradle Catholic but my parents never talked about it. A new dear friend gave me a pamphlet and is there to help with any questions. A move across the country and loneliness brought me to a new life, Church and community. 🙏🏻
Get a brown scapular it goes hand and hand with a rosary though you do make a promise to pray it everyday. I'd also recommend praying the 15 prayers of saint Bridget, it's a one year devotion with plenty of promises, big bonus is that if you pray these prayers for a whole year you honor each of the 5480 blows to Jesus' body. It is a bit long but it has definitely helped me grow in my walk with God. If it's a bit too much for you try the 7 prayers of saint Bridget. A 12 year devotion with an absolutely amazing promise of receiving no purgatory, this includes if you happen to die during the 12 years. Many more awesome promises attached to these devotions so be sure to go check them out yourself.

the best gift my mother ever gave me was to teach me how to say the rosary. When I was young I was in church with her and I didn't have my rosary and I panicked. My mom said well you have 10 fingers right? So even now I count on my fingers and I con say the rosary anytime. Thanks Mom for the gift!!

I was blessed with an encounter with Jesus recently in a dream and the beauty extended into my day and during my rosary time. What a heavenly time it was too. I got a glimpse of the total and complete love of the heart of Jesus for us and was in complete adoration. He loves us so much it’s unbelievable.
When I get off track while praying the rosary, I will close my eyes and picture myself on my knees in the presence of Mary placing a rose at her feet while reciting. This typically gets my mind back on to the respective mystery. I’m not ashamed to say this happens quite often.
If you have a loved one with anxiety and/or depression please pray a rosary to Our Lady of Sorrows for emotional and spiritual healing. Fr. Ripperger says she is very powerful. Ask her help through her own mystical agony and passion during the agony and passion of her Divine Son.
The more you struggle to say the trosary, the more grace and love in it. Cause that struggle is the sacrifice ! I used to try to make a perfect rosary but now I know the struggle means more effort and its more holy !

@terry9026 IT IS JESUS who is in the Holy Rosary, as where Jesus is his Mother is, even at the Cross, and where his Mother is Jesus is, which is why he gave her to us as Mother from the Cross. Mary strengthens Jesus' presence in us by saying in our hearts: "Do what he tells you to do", something that so few really and actually do these days.

Praying the rosary is asking for Mary's intercession. Ultimately, Jesus is the one who answers prayers. Just like when you ask someone to pray for you. Mary is powerful because she is his mother. Just like in Cana, she asked Jesus to do something about the wine. He performed the miracle at her request! Hope this expl anation helps. This video showed up randomly(?) on my feed. As a newer Catholic I love the Rosary. I recently started picturing Mary asking me if I want to hold Jesus at the Nativity during the Joyful Mysteries. It is starting to be one of my favourite mysteries, because of that image. At one point when I prayed this mystery and I was holding the newborn Jesus, He quickly grew up and transformed into a man and it switched from me holding him to him holding me. 😭 I often hold that vision in my heart and mind. Thank you both Sisters. I’m committed to saying the rosary everyday. I do place myself there, but I always dread Tuesdays & Fridays due to the Sorrowful mysteries. I have a hard time getting to the Cross. It’s hard to make the journey up that hill. But how I get through it is reliving the scene from The Passion of Christ when Mary is following the crowd as JESUS was carrying the cross & her fierce gaze as satan was on the other side of the roadway & he knows she sees him. I am one of the women whose very being is sickened to be making that journey along with Jesus & I’m aware that satan knows I see him too. But it is so difficult to get through the nailing. Please pray for my daughter coping with anxiety and depression. She no longer attends holy Mass. she was a cathequist, extreme eucharistic minister and lector. She doesnt socialize and separates herself from interacting with family who love her dearly. She works thank God but thats about it. I love her so much and feel guilty that maybe I didnt see her when she was a child and experiencing loneliness, abandonment and not understood by everyone. Shes a good woman and Im sure she loves us a lot but cant express it because of her pain. Please pray that she opens up to someone of faith and caring that can walk with her so she may heal. I cry frequently because its difficult to see her this way and being able to help her. I try to imitate Mother Mary in her silence and love her until shes ready to heal. She doesnt love herself. This is very helpful. Your thoughts are important. I used to struggle praying the Holy Rosary. I start the day and end with the Holy Rosary. However, as I progressed from Daily recitation of the Holy Rosary, now I am on a minimum 5X a day. initially it was mechanical, but now it is more deliberate recitation of each bead, mysteries. Savoring each Hail Mary's, Our Father's, Glory Be's. My transformation came about by joining the Community Recitation of the Holy Rosary in the Sunday Mass and after the Mass an Hour spent in the Adoration Chapel where I can pray the Holy Rosary 2X.

I do pray the rosary but most of the time I do my best to meditate on each mystery sometimes I do well and sometimes I feel empty but never give up. I usually say a special prayer to our Mother to guide through it that my mind don’t deviate from meditating the mystery. If I hear a voice saying, "Don't do it, I know I need to do it ."I have been chosen by God, so he has saved me in so many ways .I have a lot of spiritual atckas, so that reforces my faith he thinks he draws me away, but it actually brings me closer to our lord

When praying the rosary for example: Joyful Mysteries: 1.Annunciation (pray and meditate for humility. To be the opposite of pride) 2. Visitation (pray and meditate on charitable acts. Be there for thy neighbor) 3. Nativity (pray for understanding of poverty and detachment from the world. I always like to think of the verse where it says in the bible somewhere along the lines, “naked I came into this world. Naked I shall return” 4. Presentation (Pray and meditate on obedience. the same way Mary and Joseph did as the laws of Moses that were given to him by God say when having a first born male to consecrate him to the lord first. 5.Finding in the temple (meditate and pray for Wisdom from the Devine one. Also reminds us of religion in the church) It’s only a prayer when you ask. So that’s why I meditate on Jesus’ life. Nevertheless, at the same time pray for his virtues
What's worked for me also is meditating on how I can submit my will to God (annunciation), how I can serve and love other people (visitation), what I can give up or what I can do do practice detachment (nativity), ask Mother Mary to present my sufferings, petitions, and thanksgiving to God (presentation at the temple), ask Mary to always lead me to Jesus, not to be separated from Him, realizing always that Jesus is truly present in the tabernacle. "Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?" (finding Jesus).
When I put my heart into a meditation on the mysteries of the rosary, I usually cry, especially the sorrowful mysteries. At times, I felt dry, but I continued praying anyway. There were times I received escarchas (glitters) which I believe were gifts from Mother Mary.
I pray multiple rosaries every day. Devine mercy, chaplet of Saint michael, THE Precious blood. I m just commenting to encourage people who don't pray.I pray reverent and meditate especially for the poor souls in purgatory especially the most recent deaths. I always incorporate myself into the scene as a passive observer and feel the emotion of the moment strongly. I struggle with focus, but I am getting better at that. The Rosary is life changing. Pray it every day for a month and meditate on it as best you can, and your life will transform. Pray it every day, without fail, make it part of your life, this would be the one piece of advice that I would give above all.
I pray the Rosary with a video that uses a scripture with every Hail Mary of each decade. It does help although I get distracted at time and have to bring myself back.

Guys since starting antidepressant for anxiety a few years ago, i lost the ability to concentrate, pls pray for me to at least be able to concentrate on the rosary and Scripture, i feel dry while praying it. Ive been attending Catholic church for about 8 months or so now (i left the Anglican Church) and im getting confirmed January coming. I started praying the Rosary last month and i do struggle saying the prayers whilst contemplating the mysteries at the same time , i keep losing focus on one or the other. When reciting Rosary I ALWAYS try to imagine and part take to Christ’s Emotions of that particular mystery… as well! When I am in Adoration I imagine my Saviour on that Cross and I offer him my greatest Love and Consolation. I had a thought on my heart that many people would also be afraid of that moment and place, but I’d recommend it if you can be brave, it’s a place not many people want to be. It’s very quiet and special and intimate. Just to be clear, this is not a place I would ever choose to be or go mentally- I do not watch scary movies or horror and gore, I am scared of death and dead bodies. I am Jewish, I was raised Jewish, we do not even show bodies during funerals. It did feel that it came upon me, and I feel it helped me face my fear of death.
I have done the same but imagining myself in the Scourging, the crowing with Thorns and carrying the Cross as if I was looking through the eyes of Jesus. It is guaranteed to bring you to the realisation of how much he suffered for us. I couldn't stop the tears the first time I tried it. Even now as I type, just thinking on the experience is getting me emotional. Before anyone walks away thinking its all uncomfortable, imagine yourself kneeling next to Mary at the Annunciation or with the Holy Family in the manger, are two of the most peaceful experiences you can have on a regular basis. Edit- I was doing this without realising that St. John Paul 2, taught on this. I realise now how much grace I had been given.
I pray the rosary every day. I have a lot of trouble concentrating. I have Parkinson's and dementia. Please pray for me so I could concentrate on the mysteries. Thank you.
Keep trying to pray the rosary as per normal, but now when you encounter difficulty or feel stress or frustration, dedicate that difficulty to God. The stress you feel is essentially a form of suffering, and so can be offerred up. Doing this might actually make your prayer more meritorious than it would be without the suffering. Suffering, if approached in the right way, can sanctify us.

I left the Catholic faith at age 14 (dropped out of Confirmation class) and at age 27 I am going through RCIA to complete the process. My husband has even decided to fully convert alongside me after experiencing his first mass this past March!
I wanted to share a miracle that has happened in my life. I was told in February of this year (2024) that I was not able to have children and my doctors were in the process of getting me set up to have a total hysterectomy at age 26. This is actually what brought me back in through those church doors.
I felt I wasn't ready to take Eucharist again until the weekend of May 25th, 2024. I had doctors appointments afterwards and was told there was no concern for pregnancy still and we had scheduled my surgery for July 12th. However, after coming home from Sunday mass June 30th I just felt that I had to be pregnant. I took a test... and it was positive! I couldn't believe it so I took another. That one was also positive.
That next Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, it was discovered that not only was I pregnant: I was 7 weeks along. If you track 7 weeks back from that day where does that land us?
The week I took Eucharist for the first time in 12 years. While the medical team around me proclaimed it a medical miracle I truly believe that there was intercession involved as well. Only those who know the true meaning and power behind the Eucharist seem to understand me when I say that Jesus truly truly blessed me and my husband in what seemed impossible.
Praying the rosary has been very comforting for me throughout this time and now it just feels like despite feeling for 12 years I was lost I have now been found.

I just found this podcast. Sisters, thank you. I am glad you are sharing the experience of crying while praying the rosary. It does not matter whether joyful, sorrowful, glorious, or luminous mysteries. I cry. For me, I do put myself in the place of Our Lady who is a mother just like me, except she is the mother of our Lord and Savior. Mother Mary has been my friend and confidant since I was 13 years old. Not only is the rosary a beautiful prayer, it is also very powerful. I keep a rosary in my home and in my car. I often pray the rosary while driving.

Now in my 60's and returning to the Church....the Rosary broke a decades long addiction that I couldn't shake. Nothing worked but praying the Rosary finally, I repeat finally, freed me from that slavery. Amen.
Me too. I had an addiction to pornography for DECADES...until I had an NDE that terrified me. My priest got me to do 2 things: begin professional counseling to understand the how any addition works, and to pray the rosary daily. It took me a few months to really get it to be a regular part, as I would do it for a few days, then slip a day, etc. Once I started seeing the effects, improvements that I could not attribute to anything else, I was hooked.
It has changed my life, and in many more ways than just the addiction.

I’m 72 and recently started learning how to pray the rosary. Also a cradle Catholic but my parents never talked about it. A new dear friend gave me a pamphlet and is there to help with any questions. A move across the country and loneliness brought me to a new life, Church and community. 🙏🏻
Get a brown scapular it goes hand and hand with a rosary though you do make a promise to pray it everyday. I'd also recommend praying the 15 prayers of saint Bridget, it's a one year devotion with plenty of promises, big bonus is that if you pray these prayers for a whole year you honor each of the 5480 blows to Jesus' body. It is a bit long but it has definitely helped me grow in my walk with God. If it's a bit too much for you try the 7 prayers of saint Bridget. A 12 year devotion with an absolutely amazing promise of receiving no purgatory, this includes if you happen to die during the 12 years. Many more awesome promises attached to these devotions so be sure to go check them out yourself.

I was blessed with an encounter with Jesus recently in a dream and the beauty extended into my day and during my rosary time. What a heavenly time it was too. I got a glimpse of the total and complete love of the heart of Jesus for us and was in complete adoration. He loves us so much it’s unbelievable.

When I get off track while praying the rosary, I will close my eyes and picture myself on my knees in the presence of Mary placing a rose at her feet while reciting. This typically gets my mind back on to the respective mystery. I’m not ashamed to say this happens quite often.
If you have a loved one with anxiety and/or depression please pray a rosary to Our Lady of Sorrows for emotional and spiritual healing. Fr. Ripperger says she is very powerful. Ask her help through her own mystical agony and passion during the agony and passion of her Divine Son.
The more you struggle to say the trosary, the more grace and love in it. Cause that struggle is the sacrifice ! I used to try to make a perfect rosary but now I know the struggle means more effort and its more holy !

This video showed up randomly(?) on my feed. As a newer Catholic I love the Rosary. I recently started picturing Mary asking me if I want to hold Jesus at the Nativity during the Joyful Mysteries. It is starting to be one of my favourite mysteries, because of that image.
At one point when I prayed this mystery and I was holding the newborn Jesus, He quickly grew up and transformed into a man and it switched from me holding him to him holding me. 😭 I often hold that vision in my heart and mind.

I have a hard time getting to the Cross. It’s hard to make the journey up that hill. But how I get through it is reliving the scene from The Passion of Christ when Mary is following the crowd as JESUS was carrying the cross & her fierce gaze as satan was on the other side of the roadway & he knows she sees him. I am one of the women whose very being is sickened to be making that journey along with Jesus & I’m aware that satan knows I see him too. But it is so difficult to get through the nailing. Please pray for my daughter coping with anxiety and depression. She no longer attends holy Mass. she was a cathequist, extreme eucharistic minister and lector. She doesnt socialize and separates herself from interacting with family who love her dearly. She works thank God but thats about it. I love her so much and feel guilty that maybe I didnt see her when she was a child and experiencing loneliness, abandonment and not understood by everyone. Shes a good woman and Im sure she loves us a lot but cant express it because of her pain. Please pray that she opens up to someone of faith and caring that can walk with her so she may heal. I cry frequently because its difficult to see her this way and being able to help her. I try to imitate Mother Mary in her silence and love her until shes ready to heal. She doesnt love herself. This is very helpful. Your thoughts are important. I used to struggle praying the Holy Rosary. I start the day and end with the Holy Rosary. However, as I progressed from Daily recitation of the Holy Rosary, now I am on a minimum 5X a day. initially it was mechanical, but now it is more deliberate recitation of each bead, mysteries. Savoring each Hail Mary's, Our Father's, Glory Be's. My transformation came about by joining the Community Recitation of the Holy Rosary in the Sunday Mass and after the Mass an Hour spent in the Adoration Chapel where I can pray the Holy Rosary 2X.
I have been searching for this explanation on meditative prayer for YEARS and thank you God, for leading me to these amazing sisters in Christ!!!

I do pray the rosary but most of the time I do my best to meditate on each mystery sometimes I do well and sometimes I feel empty but never give up. I usually say a special prayer to our Mother to guide through it that my mind don’t deviate from meditating the mystery.

I was a body builder when I was living sin . But I do have one thing from that I have displine praying my rosery. If I hear a voice saying, "Don't do it, I know I need to do it ."I have been chosen by God, so he has saved me in so many ways .I have a lot of spiritual atckas, so that reforces my faith he thinks he draws me away, but it actually brings me closer to our lord
I found that watching and praying along with youtube Holy Rosary with scripture, helped me tremendously . Now it is easy for me to meditate on the mysteries alone.

When praying the rosary for example:
Joyful Mysteries:
1.Annunciation (pray and meditate for humility. To be the opposite of pride)
2. Visitation (pray and meditate on charitable acts. Be there for thy neighbor)
3. Nativity (pray for understanding of poverty and detachment from the world. I always like to think of the verse where it says in the bible somewhere along the lines, “naked I came into this world. Naked I shall return”
4. Presentation (Pray and meditate on obedience. the same way Mary and Joseph did as the laws of Moses that were given to him by God say when having a first born male to consecrate him to the lord first.
5.Finding in the temple (meditate and pray for Wisdom from the Devine one. Also reminds us of religion in the church)
It’s only a prayer when you ask. So that’s why I meditate on Jesus’ life. Nevertheless, at the same time pray for his virtues
What's worked for me also is meditating on how I can submit my will to God (annunciation), how I can serve and love other people (visitation), what I can give up or what I can do do practice detachment (nativity), ask Mother Mary to present my sufferings, petitions, and thanksgiving to God (presentation at the temple), ask Mary to always lead me to Jesus, not to be separated from Him, realizing always that Jesus is truly present in the tabernacle. "Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?" (finding Jesus).

Right. Our imagination is one of our most powerful tools from God. The enemy is always after it. It's valuable. It is also how we co-create with God.
When I put my heart into a meditation on the mysteries of the rosary, I usually cry, especially the sorrowful mysteries. At times, I felt dry, but I continued praying anyway. There were times I received escarchas (glitters) which I believe were gifts from Mother Mary.
I pray multiple rosaries every day. Devine mercy, chaplet of Saint michael, THE Precious blood. I m just commenting to encourage people who don't pray.I pray reverent and meditate especially for the poor souls in purgatory especially the most recent deaths. I PRAY FOR UNBORN , FIRST , PEACE OF JERUSALEM

I too include the Holy Souls. That is how they are released by GOD’s authority. I know you probably already do, but please pray for the Holy Father, the POPE. It can be confusing as there is so much controversy surrounding him, but we as Catholics know this is just part of it & our part is to pray for him. ✝️💟🛐

I usually pray the 20 mysteries of the Holy Rosary during my 1.5 hours of driving every day using the scriptural Rosary through UA-cam.

I always incorporate myself into the scene as a passive observer and feel the emotion of the moment strongly. I struggle with focus, but I am getting better at that. The Rosary is life changing. Pray it every day for a month and meditate on it as best you can, and your life will transform. Pray it every day, without fail, make it part of your life, this would be the one piece of advice that I would give above all.
I pray the Rosary with a video that uses a scripture with every Hail Mary of each decade. It does help although I get distracted at time and have to bring myself back.

Guys since starting antidepressant for anxiety a few years ago, i lost the ability to concentrate, pls pray for me to at least be able to concentrate on the rosary and Scripture, i feel dry while praying it. Please pray for me. Besides that, I wwould love to be sitting with these nuns and listen to what they have to say

Ive been attending Catholic church for about 8 months or so now (i left the Anglican Church) and im getting confirmed January coming. I started praying the Rosary last month and i do struggle saying the prayers whilst contemplating the mysteries at the same time , i keep losing focus on one or the other. I suppose with practice and patience it will get easier for me. Thankyou for the advice sisters , peace of our lord be with you all.

When reciting Rosary I ALWAYS try to imagine and part take to Christ’s Emotions of that particular mystery… as well! When I am in Adoration I imagine my Saviour on that Cross and I offer him my greatest Love and Consolation. I have just returned from a visit to the Sanctuary of Fatima.. and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit have been led to listen to this explanation on meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary.. henceforth I know praying the Rosary will be more meaningful and grace-filled.

The most powerful moment I have ever had was contemplating and pretending I was sitting in the tomb with Jesus during the 3 days, before He rose again. With His slain human body. I was very afraid at first. I had a thought on my heart that many people would also be afraid of that moment and place, but I’d recommend it if you can be brave, it’s a place not many people want to be. It’s very quiet and special and intimate. Just to be clear, this is not a place I would ever choose to be or go mentally- I do not watch scary movies or horror and gore, I am scared of death and dead bodies. I am Jewish, I was raised Jewish, we do not even show bodies during funerals. It did feel that it came upon me, and I feel it helped me face my fear of death.
I have done the same but imagining myself in the Scourging, the crowing with Thorns and carrying the Cross as if I was looking through the eyes of Jesus. It is guaranteed to bring you to the realisation of how much he suffered for us. I couldn't stop the tears the first time I tried it. Even now as I type, just thinking on the experience is getting me emotional.
Before anyone walks away thinking its all uncomfortable, imagine yourself kneeling next to Mary at the Annunciation or with the Holy Family in the manger, are two of the most peaceful experiences you can have on a regular basis.
Edit- I was doing this without realising that St. John Paul 2, taught on this. I realise now how much grace I had been given.
