Hi can u please make a video on full Rigify Rig (character also having a Face rigged). How to apply a Mixamo on such body on with face rigged as well. You made a video on that before but that was before Blender 4.0 changes. Please make a video on that or can u give me a hint how to go ahead on this if u not gonna video on that? I asked alot of Animators/Riggers on different Servers/Channels but noone has knowledge about that which u have... Appreciate what u are doing.. Learnt alot from you... Rigging and making Pose Library and Animation basic... alot more Thanks alot...!
Just as a heads up to those who use them. There is a slight instability error with the shader to RGB node where it gives unexpected results or lighting errors past a certain intensity of brightness in scene lights. Although I found this mainly only applies to bsdfs with subsurfacing on them
Thanks for the heads up! The features that I am excited the most is Eevee next because this is a huge improvement. Abd auto smoothing is back. The only thing that I am confused about is how they changed how to install add ons in 4.2
@@CGDive I'm a beginner and recently bought the tool based on your recommendation, Blender 4.1. I was just wondering if there might be any problems. Is Auto-Rig Pro compatible with other Blender versions?
I already covered rigging all sorts of Quadrupeds. A cat is not that different from a dog or fox ua-cam.com/play/PLdcL5aF8ZcJuHJFQgb4altQWs-RCKA7Bq.html
We're working on multi-datablock animation first, as that's a necessary first step to get animation layers working (at least, in a way that'll allow us to replace the NLA with the new layered system). Between the multi-datablock animation and animation layers there will likely be some other projects as well, like replacing big chunks of 'technical debt', polishing existing features, and adding a 'mini map' (or 'bone picker that can also be used for non-bone objects', however you want to call it).
Well, it is meant to keep old rigs that may have used a hack to go around the problem working when you bring them into 4.2. Legacy will be automatically enabled and the hack will work. Whereas if you disable Legacy, the hack may break.
Thank f**k about the bone subdivision fix. Love it
Haha, yeah. Would be nice to get better increments next. .001 is weird :P
Hahaha yeah, when somebody pointed this out to me, I was like "Whut? Really?". Fortunately it was not a hard fix.
There are interesting developments, I love them!
Yeah, not as exciting as 4.0 and 4.1 but it keeps getting better!
Thank you for this overview!! Other videos were focused too much on the renderer (which is great but I don't use because I export to UE5)
Will you ever do a cloud rig tutorial ?
I might do a test tut in the near future to see if there is enough interest.
You should increase your resolution scale, so we can see more clearly. As advice.
Thanks for the video! I really like the ability to add thickness to our control curves!
Yeah, that's a nice one!

There are Rigify videos for Blender 4.0 here:

Mixamo works the same as before.
Sick updates! Thanks for
Posting this ❤
My pleasure!
Great additions indeed. Thanks for highlighting them!
I thought of such bone custom shapes many times.Wanted it desparately.❤
Nice, right? :)

A video about addons/extensions coming tomorrow! :)
will you make a new course on the previous videos, after the 4.2 update
Which videos? Like, all of my courses? That is not doable or practical.
Hi, do you have any tutorials regarding rigging skirt like dress with rigify?
No, sorry :/
Cool, like always!
Thanks again!
Very thorough, thank u!
My pleasure!
Hey, aren't we able to add your site as an add-on repository in the blender extensions functionality?
Ah, no. It's just a directory of Blender addons. I don't own them so I can't do that.
Thanks!
Welcome!
Thanks for the video ... could it be a problem with Auto-Rig Pro ❓🤔
Huh? What is a problem with Auto-Rig Pro? :)
@@CGDive I'm a beginner and recently bought the tool based on your recommendation, Blender 4.1.
I was just wondering if there might be any problems.
Is Auto-Rig Pro compatible with other Blender versions?
@@cloudcloud1 Ah, if Auto-Rig Pro is not compatible with 4.2 yet, it will be soon. Don't worry!
@@CGDive Thanks, OK ...
I upadate the blender but this time keep the old version settings options are not available any idea why
I understand why my version was changed to 4.20 and I was confused now but I missed MeasureIt :(
Hello, could you make a tutorial on how to rig cats in blender with auto rig pro?
I already covered rigging all sorts of Quadrupeds. A cat is not that different from a dog or fox

@@CGDive ok
This is lovely update but I found 4.1 is most stable and fast version of blender
Where did "addons" go? Loop Tools, BSurfaces, Carver, extra object-Curve etc.
Answer coming in a video tomorrow! Keep an eye out!
What about animation layers? Are they coming soon?
They have it planned
Yeah, but not sure when. Some prototypes should start becoming available in 2024, I think.

Nice 👍
Are they going to devote any effort to the NLA?
They are working on a new system that will replace the NLA. That will take a while though.
honestly, right now, the only thing i'm using 4.2 for is rendering in eevee next lol
Nice! :)
But cycles got cleaner noise to denoise now
@@PoollShietzbut it takes hours to render a single high resolution frame and I'm using a gaming laptop. I want to be able to render animations.
👍
is that isaiah thomas in the cover pic? lol
haha, I don't think so. It's this model (rigged by me):

All the problems was about the bone names.
Much speed
much awesome
Ahh Legacy Behavious, the classic "Its not a bug, its a feature"

the new blender is still trash on Mac havent been able to enjoy this new upgrade yet...
..
ah, macs... I have no experience whatsoever. Please report any bugs you find.
