This hum describes and explains my life right now and this hymn helps me to understand what’s happening-God is so mysterious and Great! Thank you my Lord and my God❤ Thank you for your beautiful singing!
Arnold Yosten thank you, I really tried with this one to put some feeling into it. I know I’m making “instructional” videos but I tend to not put very much emotion in when I sing. Something to work on
I miss singing this beautiful song my choir group used to sing before Holy Week and before Christmas at our church, but, our Saturday vigil Mass was eliminated and guitar playing is banned. Sad.
This song really resonates with me. Songs about glory and praise are all well and good, but if there's one thing that I get from God it is silence. And I'd like it to stay that way, we should find the path without Him having to hold our hands through it. Just some thoughts. Thanks for this version, the other ones available on youtube don't have the same personal touch that a guitar does.
Very peaceful. Well done, Chris. Dan Schutte is coming to one of our churches in Pittston, Pennsylvania at the end of February. I am looking forward to seeing him.
Refrain Holy darkness, blessed night, heaven's answer hidden from our sight. As we await you, O God of silence, we embrace your holy night. 1. I have tried you in fires of affliction; I have taught your soul to grieve. In the barren soil of your loneliness, there I will plant my seed. 2. I have taught you the price of compassion; you have stood before the grave. Though my love can seem like a raging storm, this is the love that saves. 3. Were you there when I raised up the mountains? Can you guide the morning star? Does the hawk take flight when you give command? Why do you doubt my pow'r? 4. In your deepest hour of darkness I will give you wealth untold. When the silence stills your spirit, will my riches fill your soul. 5. As the watchman waits for morning, and the bride awaits her groom, so we wait to hear your footsteps as we rest beneath your moon.
might i use this lovely recording in an online service of the United Reformed Church in the UK? We have the requisite licences and will, of course, credit you in the script. Many thanks, Andy Braunston

You have MY permission, it’s up to you to make sure the other permissions are in place and it sounds like you’ve done that. I’m honored.
