  • Father's Day Weekend what a better way to spend a Friday and Saturday on camping and paddling a river as beautiful as the New River in North Carolina. We camped at 221 New River State Park access and paddled 10 miles from Sheets Bridge access to Gentry Rd Bridge. All class one and class two water, mostly class one.

Hey thanks brother! We had an awesome time on the New River, the weather was perfect that day it started off a little cool cause the weather up there is always 10-15° cooler than it is here in the Piedmont. Thank you so much for your kind words and your support, God bless buddy! 👍

Hello this was a good video man. I really enjoyed watching this. Me & my family ( wife , 6 boys , daughter in law , Granddaughter , so to be Grandson as soon as he gets bigger only a 1 year & 8 month old , my lil brother & his son we all love kayaking & kayak camping. It's so awesome to see you kayaking for your size man. I am a big dude myself at 358Ibs right now. I was 385Ibs before & it's great to show people that you can be big & still go kayaking with other people. I have a buddy of mine who i am trying to get to go kayaking because he love being around water but he keeps thinking that a kayak will not hold him & he is only 289Ibs. It's so awesome to see you on a kayak man. I am so happy to see that man. I just found your channel from Swampstalkeroutdoors. He is an awesome guy & he told me to check out your channel man & i am glad i did too cuz i love to watch kayaking & kayak camping videos & You representing for us big guys. I am trying to show my friends that i am a big dude kayaking & you can too. I am going to share your channel with him to see for himself that he can do it too. Thanks you so much for sharing this video buddy & God bless you & your family.

Haha I sure do appreciate all the kind words and it can be tough for a big guy getting into kayaking and there are limitations. But we can get out there an and kayak camp, kayak fish, and run class 2 rivers with the best of them. If you'd like to contact me on a more personal level and to see if I can be if some assistance to your buddy in kayak suggestions ext please feel free to look up our Facebook group 12 Stones Adventures and me and my crew would be happy to help all we can. I'm glad you found the channel and I hope your both blessed and inspired. Thanks again and God bless you and your family!

By the way I'm trying to get down myself to at least something under 300 cause when I mentioned limitations, whitewater kayaking is one of those limitations. To my knowledge the most capacity available in a ww boat is 300... And typically your not supposed to use but so much of the recommended capacity then stability becomes a bigger issue. So that's where I'm at currently, I've got a goal to get to this summer.
