Satoru was only blessed with the ability to go back a few seconds which gave him some buffer time to act, but other than that everything else was in HIS hands. at any given moment he couldve decided to ignore his instinct (although in the manga it happened twice in a row when he couldnt find something off in time) and let things play out as they should without his interference. the takeaway is, like fgdbbd said, to keep a wary eye and helping hand or shoulder out to those around us. something as simple as being someones friend or listening to them can make the most impactful difference in someone(s) life. albeit im not sure original satoru with his 8 year old knowledge couldve done what he did. (only kenya was very smart at that age though, despite not being a time traveller... but he lacked the spark to take action, which is what satoru had)

From 4:05 it totally touched my heart. I was listening the song while doing math problems and just when I listened the first tune from 4:05, it just felt like 'I have to try, even if I don't like it, even if I don't want to, I just have to' and with that it totally grabbed my heart and squeezed it till I was totally drowned in the music.

Thanks this was a great storyline. Once I go into police. I’ve been wanting to go into the missing persons devision. Get family’s. To people saying satoru and kayo should’ve gotten married or anything similar, she found happiness outside of him. They were kids and typically(in reality) you can’t expect someone to wait that long for a love that was only ever child like. Also, he found his companion in the pizza girl in the end when he was under the bridge. You could tell she was the one his heart was set on and personally I prefer that. Beautiful show all around though.
When the credits of the last episode started rolling I cried so much, at first I didn't understand why, like, the ending is quite happy and the teacher got caught, but after thinking a bit I think I cried because it was over, the journey to save Kayo, it was finally over, and thinking back to all the good moments they spent and will spend together made me tear up, damn I love Erased so much...

I watched angel beats a few weeks ago, then immediately started your lie in April and then anohana, after finishing both i also immediately started violet evergarden and assassination classroom, I haven’t known what real depression and sadness felt like until now.
