Should be named The Niagara Ship Canal. (Welland canal is a stupid name.)

It's basically been renamed into the St. LAWRENCE Seaway. The locals Know it by the Welland Canal(most of Ontario).

There is a town along the canal named Welland.i am sure the citizens of Welland would NOT be in favour of a name change.
