I just purchased this bike rack for my ebike but wasn't sure exactly how to use it. Thank you for the video. I'm sure I will be returning to it again it I run into any problems.
I am a smaller framed woman in my mid 50s and I have a 55 pound E bike. I purchased this for my relatively tall SUV. It works for me just fine. I did have to purchase the longer ramp that is an option for an additional cost- I definitely struggled to get my heavy bike up given how tall my SUV is with the ramp that came with it. I can’t say it’s completely “easy“ to get my bike on this but it’s definitely doable. And the more I do it the easier it gets. I would highly recommend. I think the only reason it’s harder for me is because my tow hitch is so farther off the ground.
No mention of the inability to load fat tire bikes because the straps are too short. However, for $20 more you can buy longer straps. There, I've saved you some time.
I have bought this and I have a question. I leave it folded up on the rear of my RV that I live in. Does anyone know if there is any kind of cover for this while folded up. Maybe anything I could use. Thanks
Putting the receiver into the hitch and in the lock position was very seamless and easy. But, I struggled a bit to take the receiver out of the hitch. Any thoughts or recommendations of why removing receiver was not as easy as installing ? Thanks
This is Thules much more expensive version of the BUZZRACK Entourage 3-Bike Platform Hitch Rack. I do like that it's weight capacity is higher though and that it has built-in wobble prevention. I'm not sure that it justifies paying three times more than the BUZZRACK considering that it holds one less bike.
Question. Without any bikes in place, and the hitch folded in the upright compact position, can you open the hatch on a standard SUV? Do you have to tilt it down or deploy the platform into the flat open position?
It was included on mine as well. You have to tilt it back and it opens up a cargo area. There’s also a longer ramp available for purchase. I needed the longer one.

@@aaronlimon4803 Thanks for the response. You don't know if there is way to lengthen the longer stabilizer bar. It is about an inch and a half too short for my ebike.

So, there isn't a way to LOCK the hitch to the vehicle? Just the pin? Why wouldn't it have a way to LOCK the rack. After spending that much money on a rack, I wouldn't want someone to just walk off with it by pulling the pin! Hmmmm

Would be great if you could show a small person loading a 60 lb e-bike using the rack. It's easy if you are 6 feet and 180 lbs.
If a small person has difficulty in moving a 60 lb. e-bike, why would they buy one?

Just loosen the knob and give the rack a jiggle that makes it super easy to uninstall.
Maybe apply a very light coat of lubricant before you put it on.

The tilt feature on mine failed and I dragged my $10k e-bike for about 100 yards. It will never be the same. Buyer beware.

Creed, that's a good point, however, the increased weight capacity on the EasyFold XT 2 makes it suitable for the majority of E-Bikes!

Yes you can …press the foot pedal and firmly pull the unit towards you. Apparently it can be tilted with bikes in place but I don’t do this!

Will the 1.25” handle the same weight as the 2.0” ( want to haul 2 ebikes)?
Yes! Thule says it has the same weight carrying capability. Just check the tongue weight on your trailer hitch it make sure it can handle the load!

The weight of 2 ebikes are to heavy. BUMMER.
Remove the batteries from the e bike and put them inside your vehicle. That should get the weight within spec.
