I actually think this drama is very good with a lots of great casts. I really like Bowie and Gigi as a couple in here and the others casts role are not bad too.
The focus is entirely different. I think the two complement each other very well. Beauty at War II is much more philosophical than the first one, maybe that's why most viewers find it boring?
Thanks for putting this up, I watched it when it was first on TVB 5 years ago!! Wow I was only 11 back then. I recently started watching it again and realised: 'TVB drama's just aren't as good?' :/

聽見呢首歌好慨嘆。 首播係2004年, 當年係讀小學六年級, 依加都出左來做野4,5年。時間過得好快。
多年後回想，依然覺得金枝欲孽是TVB 最精彩的宮廷劇。當中的局中局，爭鬥變幻難以預計，以為是一個妃子做的，怎知幕後還有高人，真的好妙!佩服編劇的用心！

雖然好唔鐘意林保怡的所謂演技，
但這套劇和這首歌總會勾起爾淳和玉瑩小主同呀大人個段糾葛 :(
唱得還可以，易唱不易精。
少了哀怨味，羅文唱更好。
羅文不在世，葉振棠亦可。
好老啦bor
不過都好過而家果班垃圾星夢歌星既
年紀不太重要，最緊要唱到歌中的神緒就可以。
敢又未必，羅文都識得將首歌的情感、抑揚顿挫，拿揑得準繩，
就好似佢原唱獅子山下咁。
理論上可能成立，只可惜林保怡歌聲帶出無奈卻少了哀怨。不妨分別模仿林保怡和羅文，甚至其他男歌手的歌聲作對比，然後再討論還未遲。
