@@xAliRaza well I mean tbh I was exaggerating about the suburbs part, because the thing is you can't avoid suburbs in Houston (the city is really just one giant suburb). I would honestly just recommend getting a nice area, Ive grown up here and honestly I'm not a big fan of this city. Many suburbs don't have sidewalks, and are extremely large and sort of far away from important places. That's why if you live here, you can't survive without a car. So make sure you have one. Anyways man, best of luck, but if you have other options than Houston, might want to consider them. It's a great city regarding cost of living, but other than that it just lacks what a lot of cities lack. To me it doesn't feel like a "real city" along with it's many downfalls (immense urban sprawl, bad sidewalks that often end in dead ends, humidity, bad for biking, etc). Chicago has a similar population but it looks and feels like a much bigger and more lively city (it's actually safer than Houston, pretty shocking). But if you're just someone who wants to work, especially in trucking or something industrial, this might be great for you. Not trying to make you hate the city, in sure you can find in good in it, but again, best of luck brother.
