Crazy good!! You've got to checkout her performance of Fate from the same show. It will blow you away. Thank you for your continued support of Sohyang.
The format ok for me. As for copyright bypass i do not mind anything (all Sohyang’s fans know how KBS can be towards reaction videos) During the interview when emcee looked at the gentleman sitting on sofa with embarrassment, that person was her father-in-law / manager of Sohyang. She is very loved by her in-laws and there’s a story about their decision to her life and death situation in one interview. Of all songs from I’m a singer 2 series as i live is my 3rd favorite. I will get shouted at for this but i like this song over Where Are You for a few reasons. The second is Fate and obvs my favorite is Oh Holy Night 🎉😂 her version hits differently and I can’t stop listening to it even to these days. Thank you very much for reacting to our beloved Sohyang. I’m looking forward to seeing more soon and have lovely days 2025 🎉🎉🎉
Once you stepped into that tv competition show, you would find it like her treasure chest. During her twenties, she was entirely devoted to being a CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) singer, performing both domestically and internationally, and rarely appearing on TV, so the general public didn't know her well. However, her talent was widely recognized among professional singers. She stated that being invited to that series, which she referred to as a "school," allowed her to make remarkable progress in her musical skills and learn extensively. It wasn't until her mid-thirties that she stepped into the spotlight for the general public, quickly skyrocketing to stardom and astonishing Korean audiences.
I Am a Singer 2 (2012) was Sohyang's introduction to mainstream audiences. She performed 13 songs, which included a couple of duets. Many of these performances are still her best versions of those particular songs, including: "Fate", "O Holy Night", and "Where Are You." However, IMO she gave better performances of "I Have Nothing" and "Dream" at DMC Festival 2015, and "Running to the Sky" at Open Concert 2014. Since 2014, Sohyang has performed 11 times on Immortal Songs 2. Many of her most popular performances come from this show, including: "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "You Raise Me Up", "Arirang Alone" and "Lean On Me." You've already seen "Everyone."
In 2017 Sohyang appeared on the King of Masked Singer show. She kept winning and ended up performing eight solos. Every performance was outstanding, including two songs that you would not expect to hear from Sohyang: an 80's rock song called "Mona Lisa" and a hip-hop/melodic rap song called "Day Day." In 2020 Sohyang was on the Begin Again program, busking around Korea with other singers during the pandemic. I believe that she sang 10 solos and 10 duet/group songs. "I Will Always Love You" and "Misty" were two of her many popular performances.
Check out Fate and O Holy Night from I'm A Singer 2 2012, I Have Nothing and Dream from DMC Festival 2015 (she is wearing a blue dress for both performances).
Hi G. I see tons of information from knowledgeable fans. Enjoy. You did ask, so another Tip. Regarding format: It is possible to avoid Copyright without including a Photo or Text imbedded in the mask. just a thin mask or making the screen transparent to some degree will work, and that allows us to see the video, which is all but obscured in your current format. A large cut of the video with your bust in a nice-sized box left or right, bottom or top, depending on how the performer is framed works well. Also, many reactors have success without thinning with transparency or covering the screen with a mask. They simply employ Pausing and briefly Rewinding periodically. I know, some performances are so captivating that you don't want to Pause, but that does allow us to see the video along with you. keep going into Sohyang's World. She will never disappoint you. You ARE watching the finest Soprano on the planet. Cheers.
Hi dave, I hoped that the background/transparency would mean no further watermark would be required but it was blocked. I tried uploading this one 4 times with different edits but could only seem to get it passed the censors by covering everything up. I will try your suggestion on the next batch.
@@ReelwithG I am not a Reactor so I collected the different approaches from successful examples - and I wasn't able to give you a hard, works-every-time solution. They are very inconsistent about issuing a Strike and the same with allowing a reaction video to play. Some Reactors may get a pass just depending on their identity. 🤔 The most consistent solution I have seen is to introduce 30% to 40% transparency alone. When you do that, make sure that there is a blank wall behind you and position the display so that it is backed up by the blank space. Reactors using this method don't put a wall or a blank space behind the video display, and then we are looking at their arm, or their chair, or their kitchen cabinets the whole time. However, if you put up a mask, please do this; put 'Copyright' in small text letters somewhere out of the way. I have seen using a photo or huge letters saying SORRY COPYRIGHT, etc. which seems to be overkill. Some brilliantly successful Reactor should have written a book on how to avoid Strikes. I think nobody has done that so far out of fear of being sued by the owners of the videos. 🤐If you are acquainted with any Reactors, you might ask them for advice. In any case, please try to employ some of my suggestions. Your current format makes sense to you, but you might just as well full-screen the photograph and just play the music, which would be disappointing, especially if your viewer, like you, has never seen the artist before. You and Nicole are doing fine. You love Sohyang's busking tour videos, but remember to Search on the title for the older performance that made a song famous to her fans. Cheers. 😊

Thanks for the insight! Very interesting to know that is her father in law. Explains why the MC was so embarassed feeling.

Thanks for the background info! Very cool
Thanks for the Sohyang reaction. If you want a rock sound in K-pop, I recommend Dreamcatcher's PIRI.
