Thank you Mr. Tevz for your analysis, it is very instructive and easy to understand. I wish you much success in your activities and thank you for your time and dedication to teaching electronics repair. 👏👍🙏🙋♂️
Please i really want to learn more from Mr tevz but they is no way for me to communicate with him, please can you make it possible for me to talk to him, I'm in Cameroon
Great video as always. Like you, i always have an Analogue multimeter on the bench. I have an expensive dmm with fast bargraph but still prefer my analogue for some things, especially power supplies. It's what I was brought up with and trained on, keep up the good work 👍.
Very informative, you can learn a lot by watching, following his procedure step by step, understanding every topic. God bless and I wish you more success and helping others watching your videos!
There are more modern digital multimeters which have a bar graph at the bottom, under the digits, and typically that bar graph is refreshed 10-20 times a second while the digits are refreshed only 2-3 times a second. So you would at least see that bar graph jump to a high voltage. Some multimeters also allow you to lock the range to some specific one so that you won't miss such events due to meter autoranging and changing the number of digits after the dot. Last but not least, multimeters have a MIN and MAX buttons that can be used to display the min and max values detected until you reset.
Hey Mr T. When you are free can you show some of the TVs that couldn't be fixed? What was symptom, things you have checked and possible reasons why still faulty. Thanks.
@@tevzTVTevatronics I hate it when I can't fix something. Working on laptop now. Has symptom of only work on battery not AC. Tokin capacitors tantalum was replaced before to fix this issue last time but this time same problem comes back 3 years later but replacing capacitors does not fix issue. One more item to recycle bin.
Hi . I'm working on 32 Samsung tv with white screen. I found L4 on lcd flex board shows short but I can't find any capacitors nearby on the same line showing short. Is it possible no smoothing capacitors at all and the inductor goes straight to ic? I'm thinking ic is faulty? Any ideas on why I can't find capacitors showing short? Or is short inside panel and I need to cut lines?
Hello Tevz, of course I enjoyed your video. Thanks for the information shared. But one thing I understand in power supply is that whenever that happens, it supplies very high voltage to the motherboard and possibly the screen. I have seen a situation where the optocoupler pins got rusty and then cut and the power supply very high voltage that destroyed the main board and screen on LG television and another on LG blu-ray player. On the LG television, the sound IC got burnt and the CPU got burnt as well. Even after fixing the power supply the TV still did not work. So tell me how did the Samsung main board survived the high voltage of 26 volts
The 26 volts that measured that going to the main board is not been used. as you can see it stays 26 volts even though the main is not connected. the 26 volts, supposed to be 12 volts is not directly connected to the audio amp, the panel, etc.. Its have a MOSFET to switch it if the power is turned on. But the 5 volts is not normal. At the begining of the video. The 5 volts measure only a pulsing 1.8 volts, and the system will not turn on to that voltage situation. So no components were damaged. the voltage is pulsing because the PWM IC driver is sensing a high VCC voltages and automatically turning off. The line where cut due to corrosion.

On the more expensive brand multimeter you have a bar graph which is more fast then display reading and you will se the fluctuation
