Ok big swole tweet was beyond stupid, because powerhouse Hobbs has a figure and has been in the Owen hart foundation tournament. Not to mention Nyla being a big character and Brandy basically being a EVP Keith Lee and Swerve being a tag team and ECT
Another bit for licensed music is that he owns Ol' 55 in perpetuity after using it for the Brodie Lee tribute video. The Goldberg rumor was also in relation to a near constant rumor that Tony Khan was going to sign Goldberg, due to the comparisons of AEW to wCw. I vaguely recall that was one of the big rumors going into Dynamite's debut. I'm surprised House Always Wins was never uploaded, but the header did say you could only experience it live.
Swole accuses AEW of being racist despite the fact that they are incredibly diverse, and you think it’s inappropriate for Tony Khan to say she’s a bad wrestler? He could have said a lot worse about her.
Bischoff doesn't understand that TV ratings CAN'T grow these days. Staying steady is a GREAT thing now. The longer and longer a company goes from today on, the ratings will get lower regardless of how good they are. Why? Cable TV is dying. It's very simple. AEW might not be at their absolute best right now (up for debate) but they aren't "not" growing. They are growing at quite a good clip. Just not on cable TV. Nobody is growing on cable tv to a certain extent.
I think the Colt Cabana situation is overblown. He was on tv as the 5th or 6th most important member of the DO and after Hangman won the World Title AEW slowly phased the entire stable out of their tv shows and made them DARK regulars. First it was just the lower level members like Cabana and Stu but then Johnny, Alex and A-1 also started getting relegated to DARK.
@@AmusingLuis How about MLW? Feel like they're massively overlooked. AEW gets too much attention. Even those who rightly criticize AEW don't pay attention to the alternatives.

The Colt Cobana one is inaccurate… he appeared plenty of times on Dynamite & even wrestled there a few times after Punk debut with AEW. Most notably against Bryan Danielson on the Thanksgiving edition of Dynamite. 🤨
Well yeah. But we're talking as of recent. He hasnt been on Dynamite on since Thanksgiving. That was 233 days ago. And if we're talking about Dark Matches. It's been 4 months:/
@@AmusingLuis That’s not what you said in the video tho lol the point you were trying to make in the video was that Colt cabana hasn’t been on TV ever since Punk debut with the company back in August which like I said that was incorrect.. like you didn’t say in the video that he hasn’t wrestled on Dynamite since November.. you said that he hasn’t wrestled or appeared on Dynamite after Punk debuted which is inaccurate.
6:02 It might be worth noting that Dynamite was first planned to air on Tuesdays - their initial trademark filing was for "Tuesday Night Dynamite". TNT didn't want to give up their prime basketball timeslot though and made them move to Wednesdays. NXT (at the time) had been releasing new episodes on a weekly schedule on Wednesdays since 2012, and kept that same schedule on their move to network television. The """Wednesday Night Wars""" were just the coincidental result of all these schedule shifts. 7:12 It's just a twitter and podcast thing, nobody cares about that shit in real life lol 15:34 BTE began as vlogs of Kenny and the Bucks in while they were in NJPW but slowly morphed into part vlog/part staged webshow to further storylines and character development, specifically in regards to Bullet Club. (Not gonna lie, when AEW was first announced I was worried that Dynamite was just going to be 2 hours of weekly BTE skits - boy am I glad that didn't turn out to be the case! BTE just isn't my thing at all lol) 20:17 Dark's name comes from the fact that, well, it was used to show dark matches from Dynamite. ("Dark" in wrestling lingo refers to a match on the card that isn't televised.) As cards became longer and the number of talent Tony signed kept growing, they decided to split it off and divided it into 2 shows. Nowadays Dark is filmed in its own separate studio arena, which kind of defeats the purpose of "dark" in the name, but... yeah. 24:54 Crazy how the whole Yuta-to-BCC storyline stemmed from this last minute replacement, huh? 29:39 YOU ALREADY KNOWWWWW and that's for trucity 33:15 Ah... I see you made this video before Jeff got arrested for *another* DUI just this month and suspended by Tony Khan until he gets his act together. Messy situation. It might be for the best if Jeff doesn't wrestle again, honestly. It's no wonder WWE fired him. 36:51 Thanks. I hate being reminded of this. 😩 39:56 This BTE skit was indeed the origin of the acronym and it became a running gag. I specifically remember "FTR" becoming a chant at WWE house shows around that time (circa 2019) and the Revival (in character as heels) wouldn't react favorably to it, so it's easy to come to the conclusion that "fuck the revival" was what it stood for. 41:56 It's just widely assumed that Cody and the rest of the Elite drifted apart due to creative differences. This is mostly backed up by Cody shifting to focus on his reality show gigs and bringing in guest celebrities to Dynamite for one-off appearances, completely isolated from the other EVPs. Whether there's any bad blood between them after Cody left the company is pure speculation, but the Bucks making vague twitter bios and Kenny shading him in podcasts really isn't making the situation better. 45:36 Congrats, this is the first new piece of info I've learned from this video 🤩 (no shade, I'm just a smelly nerd. also that's cool as hell!) 46:22 The "Dominos was angry and threatened to pull advertising" story was faked, as the source of the claim can be traced back to some tribalist wrestling blog. Dominos never made an official statement. Sorry. :( 5:12 Jericho's wife was at the Jan 6 insurrection, she livetweeted the event extensively. Her and Jericho are also devout MAGAs and it's a bit of a meme in the fandom. The coincidental and unrelated "Jan 6. bring it!" tweet by Cody is still fucking hilarious though. Oh, kind of related but Cody posted a selfie wearing a MAGA hat on his burner account in 2016, and this is still a source of many jokes in the fandom. Jan 6 is just a fountain of memes. 52:25 The semi-ironic Luther fandom actually stemmed from the Deadlock podcast! Luther knows about them and goes to their events frequently, even wrestling for them now that they're an actual promotion! Skeewoahhhhhh
Hey Luis, i know its been a year since this video but i actually know where the Paragon name came from it rumored to be a stable name from a trademark like u said but i did a little digging and found out that the Paragon trademark was used to become a Talent Agency for Wrestlers who are Free Agents who left other companies like Mojo Rawley who i also did more digging on his role and he is the Paragon Talent company Founder. Also other big names as well like Trinity, EC3, Mandy Rose, and other Sports names like Michael Bisbing. How AEW got the trademark i have no clue maybe they own it idk. But there u go, Luis love ur vids bro.
I actually find surprising Stu Grayson and Alan Angels going out of AEW BEFORE Colt Cabana, sad to think the Dark Order is getting desintegrated so fast without Brodie
I hate that people don’t give TNA more respect, they got a better rating during their Ill fated choice to go head to head with Raw than AEW got ever, including the Punk return.
Great video. I don't interact with the wrestling Fandom on Twitter or reddit since the times I've shared my opinions on matches I liked I got alot of toxic responses.
43:35 Not true. Cabana faced Brya Danielson at Thanksgiving Dynamite, the same Dynamite the Punk/MJF promo battle happened. Here's the clip. ua-cam.com/video/Okio8VEsCqU/v-deo.html
I remember that, i was there. It was in Chicago. But that was last year. We havent seen Cabana on TV since. And he's only had a handful of appearances on Dark with his last being in Early March :/, i honestly forgot Cabana existed after his match with Danielson. I feel like i reiterate. When i mean "AEW TV" I mean just Dynamite and Rampage 😅
The origin of the 'T-shirt company' bit is a little different and more in-depth than is explained in the video. You're not incorrect about the reason people called it that, but Pro-Wrestling Tees (the actual T-shirt company) has a lot to do with it. PWTs were the initial sponsor of All In, and the agreement between the two entities came about well before AEW was founded. The success of All In led to AEW keeping PWTs as its prime printing press in an agreement that more or less expanded PWTs' business. Since so much of AEW's business was coming from one little printing press in Chicago, and so many of AEW's shows to this day happen in Chicago -- and because of all the shirts they were selling together -- the "T-shirt company" crack was born. PWTs' store in Chicago was used for the All In press conference in 2018, and you can still spot the employees from that store in the front row of the Chicago shows. One time the owner of the joint tried stealing Darby's skateboard.
The "Luther Fandom" is also probably correlated with DPW/Deadlock because he's pretty much on that roster and is/was a constant meme between the Boys on the podcast. James Darnell/cmpulse won the AEW Elite General Manager Tournament so he got the chance book Luther in a match with Lee Johnson on Dark: Elevation.
I think the Wednesday night war helped wrestling fans a lot RAW on monday NXT in tuesday DYNAMITE on Wednesday Rampage and smack down on Friday All we need now is a solid Thursday program and all is complete
The January 6th thing is basically referencing that Jericho is a huge Trumpie, his wife was at the January 6th invasion, and he's donated money to Trump's organization
Had my card info leaked during the Pro Wrestling Tees breach, was a massive pain in the ass to get my money back and have to get a new card. Wasn't a fan of the way they took several months to send an apology letter and offered everyone a free year of some online protection service, basically them acting like their website being breached was something the customers could have prevented.
The reason I don't fuck with AEW is because to me everyone's is either affiliated with a group or is part of a group which to me doesn't make anyone stand out or feel special, for example Malachi black FKA Aleister black was one of my favorite acts in black and gold NXT (not main roster) and he even carried over that stupid ass story line with his eye from WWE to AEW but what tf does AEW do put/gives him a group just why? if any one should be a solo star it should be him. And ik AEW mark's will say "OH CM PUNK IS SOLO THO" he literally is their biggest star and should be solo, and if there is any one else who the AEW fans says is a solo act you might want to double check because I guarantee you that they either were or are associated with someone else, and that's just a lazy way of booking to me. Like wrestlers can have a feud literally because one of their friends doesn't like someone else's friends and that's lame as fuck. Idgaf AEW on it's best day couldn't touch NXT black and gold on it's worst day. I'm going to give one more example of what I'm trying to say the Undisputed era stood out because they were a group amongst solo stars and tag teams and imo one of the best groups in the past 10 years, but now look at them thay just blend in with the rest of the groups on AEW.
I really want to AEW to succeed, but their highly toxic fanbase is preventing it time and time again. I'm telling you, will go after and dox anyone who says that AEW isn't that good. Not only that, they'll say childish insults like "E-Drones" and "Vincels", even to the ones that also criticize WWE like me. And it makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it. Now I'm not saying that ALL AEW fans are bad. There is a small percentage of them that are completely normal and do manage to point out the flaws of the company.
I saw in another Aew Iceberg, that Tony Khan was the one who started the Stephanie McMahon and Randy Savage rumor on an online message board back in 2003? Have you heard anything about that or know if there is any validity to that?
@@AmusingLuis So here is the comment word for word- "Another for the deeper end of the AEW Iceberg- The Macho Man/Stephanie Rumor: A video from Wrestlelamia proved this infamous urban legend had first been mentioned online in an infamous "Sleaze Thread" on the DVDVR message board (also where the Angelfire "weird wrestling urban legends" page started.) The original thread was started in 2003 by a poster named "Coach Tony K". After years of being an open secret on that message board, In October 2021, Tony Khan formally admitted that was his DVDVR screenname and thus, that he was the one who started that thread and caused those things to catch fire."

Ok big swole tweet was beyond stupid, because powerhouse Hobbs has a figure and has been in the Owen hart foundation tournament. Not to mention Nyla being a big character and Brandy basically being a EVP Keith Lee and Swerve being a tag team and ECT
FTR is actually short for franklin technicalwrestling rosevelt
Weird of you not to mention Impact
Especially when you mentioned impact guys who blew up in tna NOT roh
Another reason January 6th could be because Max Caster has name dropped that event in some of his raps
20:20 "infamous for all the wrong reasons."
Infamous means "famous for a negative reason." Can we stop using infamous instead of well known...
I forgot about that house show being announced
Swole accuses AEW of being racist despite the fact that they are incredibly diverse, and you think it’s inappropriate for Tony Khan to say she’s a bad wrestler? He could have said a lot worse about her.
Thank you Luis for this great video
My pleasure! Please share!
Why would you call him by his real name. Everyone knows him as THE ROCK!!
Actually everyone now knows him as "The guy from fortnite"
You should do New Japan, it'll take some time but I'm sure it'll be mind-blowing
Maybe. I dont watch New Japan, i might need help for that
Nice work, Amusing. Looking forward for the next video.
The Caster rap was more controversial based off the Duke Lacrosse line rather than Simone Biles.
Yeah i saw it was from both. Should've added that. Whoops
I can't fucking believe it's almost been 4 years.... that's insane
For the January 6th stuff... it's 100% about Jericho's wife.
Cabana hasnt had a match since March 👀
@@AmusingLuis And what about Stu?
Those videogames signs are so good.
Fun to spot when the shows are live.
The best run of punks career? Hardly
LMFAO. YEAH THAT DIDNT AGE WELL
A TNA or a WCW iceberg might be a good way to milk this series
Never really seen TNA nor WCW. Id have to get a guy for that 😂
@@AmusingLuis How about MLW? Feel like they're massively overlooked. AEW gets too much attention. Even those who rightly criticize AEW don't pay attention to the alternatives.
I got hit by the pro wrestling tees hack and had to change my card info and eventually got my money back. But now I’m just gonna stay away from buying wrestling shirts ig 😅
DEADLOCK baby let’s fucking go

Thanks 😊
22:44 Actually: There we’re released wwe superstars on WWE 2K22 who are working for AEW, stars like: Keith Lee, Cersaro, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Jeff Hardy, John Morrison, Kalisto, Kyle O’Riley and many more who are working for AEW or Impact Wrestling, the “AEW stars in WWE 2k22” part was probably supposed to refer to the released stars
Kalisto in aew ? 👀😂😂
@WrestlerJudger he changed his named to Samurai Del Sol I think. Only had like 2 matches for AEW though.
7:12 It's just a twitter and podcast thing, nobody cares about that shit in real life lol
15:34 BTE began as vlogs of Kenny and the Bucks in while they were in NJPW but slowly morphed into part vlog/part staged webshow to further storylines and character development, specifically in regards to Bullet Club. (Not gonna lie, when AEW was first announced I was worried that Dynamite was just going to be 2 hours of weekly BTE skits - boy am I glad that didn't turn out to be the case! BTE just isn't my thing at all lol)
20:17 Dark's name comes from the fact that, well, it was used to show dark matches from Dynamite.
29:39 YOU ALREADY KNOWWWWW and that's for trucity
33:15 Ah...
39:56 This BTE skit was indeed the origin of the acronym and it became a running gag.
45:36 Congrats, this is the first new piece of info I've learned from this video 🤩 (no shade, I'm just a smelly nerd. also that's cool as hell!)
46:22 The "Dominos was angry and threatened to pull advertising" story was faked, as the source of the claim can be traced back to some tribalist wrestling blog. Dominos never made an official statement. Sorry. :(
5:12 Jericho's wife was at the Jan 6 insurrection, she livetweeted the event extensively.
Dork
nice breakdown 💯

Fun fact before I watch the video:
Aew is a wrestling promotion
WOAH. You Must be a wrestling wizard
I actually find surprising Stu Grayson and Alan Angels going out of AEW BEFORE Colt Cabana, sad to think the Dark Order is getting desintegrated so fast without Brodie
Dark Order died when Brodie died :(
It's not that they aren't more priority but cabana must have been signed after them 2. That's why he's there later
Dorks
Cabana has been filming The Rock series, and signed a new deal with AEW, but I read somewhere that it is planned for him to go to the ROH roster
@@deathr1der934 yea "IF" he is resigned it will be RoH cause of punk
4:44 this didn’t age well
the revival wore FTR on their trunks towards the end in WWE. So I'd say it stands for fuck the revival. pretty sure that's the joke.
They've been so over in AEW i forgot their old name was The Revival
I hate that people don’t give TNA more respect, they got a better rating during their Ill fated choice to go head to head with Raw than AEW got ever, including the Punk return.
The wrestling has change in 2 decades

Great video. I don't interact with the wrestling Fandom on Twitter or reddit since the times I've shared my opinions on matches I liked I got alot of toxic responses.
Thx :)
i feel like ive seen colt cabana on tv multiple times since cm punk debut
Not on Dynamite or Rampage. Its mainly on Dark or Elevation. And that just doesnt help as it almost feels like he's been gone forever
@@AmusingLuis I don't watch dark or elevation. I vividly remember danielson kicking his tooth out tho.
was just after danielsons heel turn so probably november decemberish
I literally cannot imagine MJF acting like a kid. Or A Face.
Honestly him in the bunny outfit is pretty adorable 😂
Also if he ever turned face. I would assume he's at gunpoint and needs help
THROW EM UP 👉🤪
@@mumblesnation That’s for trucity! 👉🤪gotta LET EM KNOOOOW

I think the Wednesday night war helped wrestling fans a lot
RAW on monday
NXT in tuesday
DYNAMITE on Wednesday
Rampage and smack down on Friday
All we need now is a solid Thursday program and all is complete
I don’t know if this is Punk’s best run tbh
This was recorded before his injury :( that definitely derailed the title run
The January 6th thing is basically referencing that Jericho is a huge Trumpie, his wife was at the January 6th invasion, and he's donated money to Trump's organization
Doesnt really seem like an AEW thing lol. Wonder why they even added to the iceberg 😂
9:24 those are quotation marks("), not parentheses (())Luis.
I know 😂 honestly i need to stop recording while im half asleep. Idk what im saying anymore
FTR definitely stands for Fuck The Revival.
F*CK THE REVIVAL
The AEW WWE2K22 one is 100% supposed to be the droves of talent in the game that is currently AEW or released
All I’ve seen the past two months online is people shitting on aew or saying it’s over soon lol
Personally loving it
The reason I don't fuck with AEW is because to me everyone's is either affiliated with a group or is part of a group which to me doesn't make anyone stand out or feel special, for example Malachi black FKA Aleister black was one of my favorite acts in black and gold NXT (not main roster) and he even carried over that stupid ass story line with his eye from WWE to AEW but what tf does AEW do put/gives him a group just why? if any one should be a solo star it should be him.
RIP BRAY
The Max Caster suspension was actually over the reference to the rape allegations case of the Duke Lacrosse team when they were in North Carolina.
My man Max can't catch a break. Could've been both. I should've added that part too 🤭
Like Tony Khan said we are all robots
Hahahaha beep beep boop 🤖
I really want to AEW to succeed, but their highly toxic fanbase is preventing it time and time again. I'm telling you, will go after and dox anyone who says that AEW isn't that good. Not only that, they'll say childish insults like "E-Drones" and "Vincels", even to the ones that also criticize WWE like me. And it makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it. Now I'm not saying that ALL AEW fans are bad. There is a small percentage of them that are completely normal and do manage to point out the flaws of the company.
Its mainly the vocal minority of AEW fans that are pretty toxic. Most of the people ive been with are pretty cool
I saw in another Aew Iceberg, that Tony Khan was the one who started the Stephanie McMahon and Randy Savage rumor on an online message board back in 2003? Have you heard anything about that or know if there is any validity to that?
No way that's valid

The original thread was started in 2003 by a poster named "Coach Tony K". After years of being an open secret on that message board, In October 2021, Tony Khan formally admitted that was his DVDVR screenname and thus, that he was the one who started that thread and caused those things to catch fire."
