If the egg map is confusing there is a different egg layout for Normal and Heroic. - Heroic Eggs Layout / Route - wow.zamimg.com/uploads/guide/images/27209.jpg?maxWidth=800 - Normal Eggs Layout / Route - wow.zamimg.com/uploads/guide/images/27208.jpg?maxWidth=800 This means in HEROIC your raid has to break four sets of 3 egg sets through P1.
Your guides are always the place to go for quick, but informative guides on most important things in an encounter! Just killed this gal yesterday following your guide and pathing! Was really ez(we had a few issues with the egg pair number 8, as adds were spawning there as we approached, but we countered it with a 3rd tank grabbing them and moving to the add tank) Images in the descriptions helped a lot as well, I was able to copy them and paste in wow chat so random ppl in a PUG group would have an idea on what are we doing as a group! Thank you so much!
The other tank in my group on heroic is having a hard time staying alive tanking the boss p1. It's a blood dk. Is there some sort of tank buster going off in that phase that would require a taunt swap if unmanageable?
BDK with decent gear shouldn't have any problems with the boss - AMS can be up for every second one and the others should be fine with just Vampiric Blood and careful rune/rp management. Add in the occasional Lichborne and IBF and bob's your uncle.
Hey mate, so Phase 1 as the boss tank can get a little scary at times due to the debuff from stoneclaws which is the 8 second healing debuff. BDK is a unique position as absorptions aren't impacted so you can still chalk out good sized blood shields, but you have reduced healing still even from DS. You have to plan around this in some cases for when the debuff is up, but your other tank being a BDK should be able to cope pretty well. It certainly does have some scary moments though, I've been doing it on Prot Paladin lately and that is a different game from doing it as Blood.
I think the map used by my editor is a bit borked for Normal sorry. 24 eggs in total 12 groups of 2. You just tank the boss near the 2 eggs always, she will target 2 with rapid incubation, hit the action button, run the line through the eggs. in Normal*
@@Darkmech don't know about normal but on heroic eggs were 28 and needed to destroy 3eggs 4times and the rest 2eggs 8 times to get it done in 12 staff casts. Which is correct on the drawing that has 3 eggs clustered 4times.
So do the tanks still taunt swap on heroic or only on P2? I have a hard time seeing us taunt swap halfway across the room and can you pop 3 eggs at a time or just 2? The path we were using shows triples 4 times that need to be popped but I'm not understanding how you can pop a group of 3 when the beam only does 2.

No tank swap in P1 for any difficulty. You only taunt swap in P2. The other strat for this can be 3 tanks, 2 on boss - 1 on adds if you can't do P1 with 1 tank.
You can do the first pack where it is on the chart provided soon as you break the eggs you move the boss and your add tank has a brain and when they spawn they pick them up and run away. You can also elect to start 1 clutch over, and then head back to that one etc
Uphf, this map is not aligning with the wowhead egg map layout. I'm not talking about the route, I am talking about the layout of the eggs. Edit: Ah the egg layout is different on normal and HC. You missed to mention this :)

I cannot wrap my head around this fight. You say one beam destroys two eggs, but the “map” shows many groups of three. Are some beans different?

No, you can destroy more than 2 eggs. In HC you do 4 groups of 3 eggs, or boss will enter p2 with 4 eggs left.

The egg chart is giving me problems, the first pack of adds always spawn near staff 01. And people yell at me to move boss
