What I love most is how MUCH they live, like really being alive. The whole sequence starting at 15:08 is gold. The age question itself was great, and I love their sense of humor about it, including Jensen randomly playing with the monitor again (19:20).

I have never been to one (and I wached this show in real time since the beginning, so from 18 years ago!) and if they keep doing the JIB ones, i will probably go next year if I can (it ain't cheap and it's a trip, but probably very worth it). They can keep this going as long as the fans are willing to pay for the tickets, and they are. Just look at the amount of views these videos get ( and most panels get two or even three videos, so you gotta add all that up). Also other shows, like The Boys, don't have great conventions like this, so the popularity of those roles gets an outlet here. They are more and more getting questions about The Boys, Walker, Big Sky etc. I actually think that many other actors would get a much more solid fanbase and even have a better experience of their fame if these conventions existed for shows like for example Yellowstone. Why only for genre shows?
i don't know why genre shows seem to be the mainstay for conventions, maybe it's something to do with the fanbases, rather than the shows as such. Hope you do get to JIB 14, there are cheaper passes available if you can't stretch to an Angel pass, and you are right in thinking it's an awesome experience! (Though if you just want a photo or auto with Jared or Jensen, they are starting to pop up at comic con events in Europe, which can work out less pricey).

It' laballed as a Q&A, but really I think it is a performance of sorts, like a happening/theatre experience. They do it extremely well - natural talent and years of practice I guess 😅. It's not so much really about meeting them in person, and I don't care much about autographs . It's about watching them do their thing live. I checked the prices and rules, and to my great surprise it says "no video or audio recording" of the panels. What !!?? But so many of you do? Not that I would (old phone with no stabilizer built in), but it was unexpected. I thought they allowed that at JIB, and they have another rule "don't raise your phone above your head". But if you can't record, and obviously not allowed to make/take calls, why in heavens would you raise your phone? To wave it? To check the bars?🤣It's a contradiction in rules...
The rules are no videoing (I think it's a contractual thing?) and Creation have the same, but both turn a blind eye, and the guests all know people record and behave accordingly. Photos are fine without flash, but the reason they have the no holding stuff up was a few years ago we had so many people with iPads and big cameras all the time people complained, hard, and JIB responded. And yes, a lot of the panels end up performances here because they enjoy themselves so much they forget about taking questions! 😂 If you aren't bothered about 'meeting' them, Demon passes and Sinners also get seats in the panel room, and with only c 800-900 seats there isn't really a bad view. But Angel passes are the best for queueing and are nearer the stage
