Most important things: 1. pick a major that will help you make money, and it doesn't have to be CS. 2. Stay at home while going to college if you can. If you have a UC nearby, just go there. It's just an undergrad education, stay with your parents a bit longer, save money. You're muslim, you're not going to college to party, drink and fornicate. A night out with your muslim friends just means going to an omar suleiman lecture and drinking boba lol. 3. Don't be elitist. Have high goals but remember that UCR and UCSC are great schools too, don't think of them as lowly. We're also lucky to have CSUs. Remember the founder of WhatsApp dropped out of a cal state and sold his company for $19 Billion to Facebook. There are even unemployable Stanford grads out there. Rizq in Allah's hands, trust in Him, make dua, and for the love of God, get married right when you graduate and get your first job.
