In this episode I show how to make quick & easy tags using book pages. These tags can also be used as tuck spots. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe!
Catching this video this morning as I am up early with my sick kitty (cancer😔) and who shows up but the beloved Leo❤️🥰🐾. Always loved seeing Leo in your videos.❤️ That little paw sneaking in always made me smile.
Just found your channel and as a fellow Canadian, I am excited. I love these tags and will have to keep an eye out for small bird books so I can make some of them!!!
Love these tags! It's always exciting to see when you've uploaded a new video. You have so many cute ideas and I'm really enjoying the sewing. Leo, of course, is always a treat to see!
All so am at hospital today having a feild test on .my eye i have dots and lines all the time so so for the iong text I got trold last year and I hope I here from you x
Love these tags! I've been gone from your channel for awhile. It's so good to see you, and Leo again! ps, I just got this tab punch! What a great idea to just punch them out of scraps and keep in a container! Thanks for all the inspiration!
Goldfinches are my favourite - they make the funniest tweeting sound when they fly. We have a mating pair in the garden at the moment, their chicks have fledged already. Truly beautiful birds. The weather in the UK is very hot - we’re not used to it and yes, we are moaning about it. Virtually no rain for 6 weeks - unheard of!
sarahwig1 it's literally driving me insane now! I'm so sleep deprived and hate sweating! Ugh! I had 3 showers yesterday with practically cold water, and stuck my head under the garden hose a couple of times in-between! I have as much energy as a half dead gnat! We haven't turned our tower fans off for more than an hour in 6 weeks! I'm so desperate for it to rain...we need a massive huge summer storm to rehydrate the gardens and wildlife, and to freshen up the air!!! 😎😎😎
The top of the Tab that you put the eyelet in. Fold small paper even. Put the loose paper ends in first, folded at top so a slither of space shows at the top of the Tab. The loose part of a folded paper goes in first into the Tab maker. Make sure the folded paper will be short enough that it will let a slither of space show at the folded/top. Now think, if I push close will the folded/top stay together where I put the eyelet? if so punch. It is so much fun to see if I can make my punch do more than what it says. Have fun & enjoy your punches. I so hope I explain this so anyone can do it. 😊
Really like these Tags! One question where do you order all your charms on all your craftiness?? For sure going to make these! Thank You Wendy! Hugs..Joyce
Thought I recognised the Observer book pages in a previous video. I'll have to start to look out for them in charity shops!. Would make nice journaling cards with plain/lined papr on back. Beautiful.
Love this, Wendy! I pretty much love everything you do! And lucky you on finding the book...$30 dollars on Amazon is the lowest price. Have to keep my eyes open at sales!
You find the most fabulous books! I'd wanted an EH book but every one I saw online said "facsimile" and that threw me off, thinking they were fake or something. I finally got one though and now I get it. Anyway, the one I got is a first edition and now I'm not sure I want to cut it up.
Sorry to bug, but are the EH book pages you use from the hardback or paperpack or both? I found another one pretty cheap that came today and it was a paperback. Apparently, I hadn't paid enough attention when placing my order. The paperbacks are much smaller (5.5x7") and a slightly different texture/weight - but still nice. I could see they could be used smaller projects.
Stay cool is hard as we also have over 30 degrees Celsium already for weeks. Today just now 35,5 ! I can't even do some crafting inside as upstair is much too warm. I rather watch Wendy videos sitting outside and drinking some limonade.
If you have a little wide paper ... Try folding it in half and put it in the tab maker but leave a tiny space at the top of fold then punch. Then it will come out an already folded tab that you can use like a whale punch. 😉
You are so correct. I am a quilter also and every project just produces scraps for another quilt. It is never ending. Early on in the pandemic, I started making masks to give away to my community. All the scraps from close to 1000 masks will be made into a “COVID quilt” and that is just scraps. I probably have enough to make several quilts. If I can just get through my journals I’m making I’ll be starting on the first one.
I do have some that I’m using in my journals but it is such a small amount that it doesn’t even make a dent in the massive amount. Once I can sit down and actually go thru them I’ll probably find that a lot of it is large pieces that can be used in other projects. I’m sure I just threw everything into a pile while I was sewing.
@@Jana-TheCraftyGambler lol I can imagine scraps flying away from the machine or the cutting table - visual - I have a bag I keep all sorts of scraps in - yarn, cotton thread, material, stuffing, batting etc - and when the bag is full I make a cushion or two for the local animal rescue. I could probably use the lint from my dryer in there as well come to think of it.
Lovely tags! I found your channel through Mrs Cogs channel. Watched the video of her unboxing the beautiful quilted journal you sent her:) Did you buy the book with the birds in it or thrift it or what? If you are looking-for small bird books try “Birds as shown to children” a British series know as the Nature as shown to children books.

Gorgeous, I love birds like every animal! They are all stunning. Does your machine never stucks and your thread is never ripping? Admireable!!

Beautiful tags, Wendy 😘
Super cute! Been sewing a bit lately too! Fun! Xo
ohhh just lovely!!
Just darlin'.
"once a quilter'??? quilters never give it away, they incorporate it into lots of other projects :)
love your ideas
