I'll never forget you pops, I was 13 when I started out with your videos. I'm now 22 and a professional ukulele player This video was the 2nd song I ever learnt on uke and your videos really helped me get to know the chords and eventually improvise everything I play. Much love old man
@ajay72588 The opening melody notes are: (2)0 (1)0 (2)4 (1)0 (1)2 (1)3 (1)2 (1)3 (1)5 (1)7 The numbers in parenthesis are string numbers. Hope this helps until I get the tablature up online
Big Mike, on the basis of this / your tutorials I have now taken up and bought a tenor Ukulele (since my son won't always lend me his)! I have now started the journey, for which many thanks. You have a very patient attitude to your lessons, which is great for beginners. El Condor Pasa is the first thing I learnt to play, and I did it all in my first day! (Some previous guitar experience.) Cheers from the U.K.
Bless your soul for teaching us this amazing arrangement of this song!! My favorite version of this melody is track number 1 off El Condor Pasa - Spirit of the Incas album and el Mariachi Vargas version is awesome too but this you just taught us all is just glorious!
Carlos at IOFMA gives a wonderful tutorial of this piece. Although I like this arrangement better and would like to learn it, Carlos completely breaks it down for you totally unpretentiously note for note, and he graciously replies to your comments and questions.
WOW! I want to learn that one really bad! Beautiful. There is no end to your talent. Thank you for wanting to share the the magic and the joy of the ukulele. I have learned a lot from you and will continue to keep at it. I do hope I can learn this one. God bless you.
U are absolutely brilliant! I have finally learnt my first song and its all down to ur easy to follow tablature and tps and tricks!....simply awesome, many thanks and I will be learning more from u...tuning in always! thank you
Hi mike, beautiful song, excellently played. you've inspired me to get my own uku. been playing guitar for years, now looking for a new challenge. had a oscar schmidt concert on order from America (can't get them in England) for a few weeks can't wait to get learning and playing along to your brilliant videos...... All the best , adi England.....
Hey Mike, not 5 minutes after watching this and your mentioning Simon and Garfunkle we were watching Yankees and Phillies and they were sitting together at the game. Funny, Great lesson
Thanks for the video, but could you make one that broke the song down slower and showed exactly what you are doing with your fingers? I feel like it's not that hard of a song if I could just figure out where the fingers are supposed to go..
Mike your videos are amazing. In regards to El Condor, I am having an issue after the change to the F chord. Can you please put up a TAB for this? Thanks!
Thanks for the great video. I manged to learn it in about half an hour but my soprano scale vita-uke doesn't sound out the 10th and 12th frets very well. I have to strum the A string a bit harder but it's not quite right. Perfect excuse to pick up another uku :D
Please can you show us 1 by one witch string you touch! I cannot see it this way! Would be fun and nice to see witch cord one by one down where you play. I like your style:) From Helene Bedard
I would love to be able to slow this down to see it very slowly note for note because I'd love to learn this song but being a beginner I'm just not fast enough to pick up on everything you do at once
Where will you post the tabs? I would love to try to learn this. I thought Simon and Garfunkel wrote it. I had NO IDEA it was a folk song. One other question Mike, how old is the youngest child you have ever taught on uke? My grandson is 3 1/2 very interested, but I am not sure if he has the coordination needed yet. BTW I love everyone of your videos. You not only play well, you teach well.
Thanks Sir like your player ukulele , good. I have a quiestion , What kind this type ukulele., maybe look like tenor tyoe ? Thanks.Sir for your inform first. Succes to you.

Perú
great tutorial!
Thanks
Good tutorial. I wonder you could do the intro of the EL condor pasa with the tremolo. The original songs by Simon & Garfunkel has this intro.
Don't they play the intro with a mandolin and not with the ukulele?
It's very beautiful music, but now where we can get the tabs? Sorry asking such question.
Where will you post the tabs? I would love to try to learn this. I thought Simon and Garfunkel wrote it. I had NO IDEA it was a folk song. Inspired me to play it out in nature and recorded it for my channel, even though a bit simplified and of course not that perfect.. :)

Hi Mike thanks for the lessons, however I cannot see what strings and fingers you are using for this piece el condor pasa and would love to learn this. Any help please
For C you use the fourth finger because you don't use the first finger....You put the first finger underneath the middle.
