  • Vastu works on the balance of energies. Thus, the pooja room and study areas should be in the positive zone. Toilets can be constructed in the South, West, or Northwest directions. Non-compliant bathrooms and toilets cause many troubles and issues. However, there are many remedies to create positivity; some of them are listed below:
Use sea salt, alum, rose quartz, amethyst, shiny stones, and plants as remedies.
Use stones that shine as these shiny stones emit their energy.
In addition, use some plants like a spider plant, snake plant as these plants filter energy in the toilet.
Remove the dead plants from the toilets and replace them with new ones.
Plants, stone, and salt filter negative energies from the toilet. Spider plants and snake plants are the best to create positivity. You can keep these plants in any direction of your house.
You can also use sea salt. There is no direction to use sea salt; you can keep it in any direction which suits you. The only precaution that needs to be taken in case of sea salt is to keep it in a non-metallic container. There is no harm in using these remedies even if your bathroom is in the right direction to filter out negativity.
A bathroom has few things in common. The first is the shower, which should always be on the North or East wall. There would be a mirror on top of the washbasin and water in the basin. Anything related to water will be on the North or East side. The shower and taps in the bathroom can be attached to the North or East walls.
The most-tricky thing in the bathroom is the toilet seat. As per Vastu, fit the WC (Water closet or flush toilet) so that while using WC, you face either the North or South. The first preference is South, which means it is best to have the toilet seat set up so that when using WC, your face is in the South. If South is not possible, then the second option is North. If that is also not possible, then the least recommended option is West. It is prohibited to use WC facing East as we worship East in the Hindu religion. Use black mirror (3-5 inches approximately) on the back of the WC. Also, avoid spending too much time in the toilet.
Avoid black colour on toilet floors. Choose bright and soothing colours of flooring. Use proper lights in the bathroom and avoid darkness. Cover the water closet if not in use. Weak finances and loss of money can happen if water is leaking in the bathroom. The bathroom door must be closed when not in use.
