Texas schools don't play well against out of state private schools. Texas teams will have a group of 5 star athletes mixed in with players that can't bench press a broomstick starting on offense. That's why they can't compete with schools like Mater Dei.

I’m from Cali and California is top heavy. California’s top 5 can compete and probably beat every states top 5. But if we say top 15-20 Cali would lose 10 of those games against FL TX and probably be even with GA.
I disagree, Cali is slept on by everyone in the nation year in and year out. Texas, Florida, Ohio all have the talent and great programs that could compete with any team including the powerhouses in Cali but overall California has the best prep programs in the nation.
