The robot's backpack has to be tabbed in correctly to correct the seams at the top. The grey part has 4 tabs that sit _flush_ against the central head assembly; the side panels have to be tabbed in LAST otherwise they'll push the panels outwards. With the correct order of operations the top should look pretty much perfect.

Brother I really appreciate your outlook on figures, Short, Sweet, and to the Point with no BS. A lot of Collectors are getting this MS Gimlock offering with really loose parts which seems to be it's main issue, and maybe some Kiki can solve that, but it sucks when you have to apply it on a figure straight out of the box. Other than that its a fantastic looking Grimlock. BTK, Thanks for the Spot on Review.
MAN... THANK YOU! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this comment. As for the figure I spent some time with it last night and its a lot of fun to transform. I'm going to try some floor polish to tighten up the loose spots on mine and maybe revisit the figure with an update after. Thank you again.
Wow. This...this is a tough sell this time around. Like, this ain't so cut-and-dry unlike NewAge David vs. Magic Square Light of Victory (MS Win) or NewAge Agamenmnon vs. Magic Square wtfever their Megatron was called (NA Win) or even NA Firefox vs. MS Meteorite vs. TNT01 (TNT Win).
• I think Magic Square may have truly and irreversibly shot themselves in the nuts with this one: suspect build quality AND the audacity to have a port in the T-Rex mouth but NO BLAST EFFECT!?
• NewAge includes one that can double as a club (akin to Legacy Transmetal 2 Megatron, who does the same thing). The paint on the NewAge looks a little bit better on the overall visual appearance; that yellow is one color of nylon you would think MS would've learned to avoid because of how ugly their Bumblebee looked, but I guess not. (It was ugly then, and it's ugly now)
• Worse yet, though I'm two years late to the party (because I didn't hear about this until a month ago), there's KOs of NA Ymir out there, both OG toon color and Extra Metallic G1 Toy Color...which seems to be the only one around now.
Man! what a comment, Thank you for this! Your reasoning is dead on the nose, I Ultimately am sticking with Newage for my Dinobots. That yellow on MS is horrible, and I don't feel like spending the time tightening up so many joints. As for missing out on the official NA Ymir, you can still find him at an affordable price on Aliexpress. I really REALLY appreciate this comment. Have a wonderful day
