I like the way the police allow the offenders to further incriminate themselves by listening to their lectures on how they think the police should do their work. What they don't realize is that, traffic offenses are non-indictable crimes in nature.
The swift ticketing is really an issue. I’ve always not been for impounding vehicles. I just hope our Police is working on a swift way of ticketing instead of cars impounded.
Tickting will be a bit of a challenge for traceability... the impound is the best for our system. Ghanaians can come up with many excuses to escape prosecution.
Motorway or no motorway you made a wrong turning and that is wrong, improper. You all screaming for Change and improvement within the country and your community but you still want to involve in illegal activities 😏😏😏😏🙏🏾

What the police are doing can effectively make money for the police service and the nation instead of the imposition of stupid taxes. They need to find a way to digitise the system so that people can pay their fines instead of impounding cars thereby making people waste time and more money. If done properly we can make money of the stubborn trotro drivers and others. The fines can go towards the road fund to make Ghana better. Long Live Ghana.
If its up to money, people can raise money for unworthy causes... if the person charged for an offences and if others are aware they will be charged , they will comply.
You can't imagine how trotro drivers are now adhering to picking up and dropping passengers at the right places...

Of course there is no U-turn option on the whole motorway, nowhere in the world. It is much to dangerous. All the illegal trotros who stop anyhow and everywhere endangering all other commuters are already enough.of a nightmare. But of course there should be options to change the direction like bridges, overheads or tunnels. A motorway is very different from all other roads!!!!!
Shameful ! incompetent and corrupt leadership is destroying the beautiful motorway built by Dr Kwame Nkrumah. My heart bleed when I see how diterioriating state of the motorway vital to the economy of Ghana.
As usual, 3 or 4 years ago accra and tema authority was in the front page of news papers making noise it going to demolish all the illegal structures and side roads in to the motorway, up to now nothing has been done, rather construction of houses and illegal roads are on the rise .
Please can they impound the people who cross the Motorway too. Their own too is Dangerous ohhh.

This jokers are insane...when they get arrested here in abroad for traffic violation, they dont even have the guts to question the authorities
That's because they don't impound your vehicle for days, they just issue you a ticket for the violation... The Police here ain't use to that, they would have just collect some cash and let it slide if not for the camera..
A motorway is a dual carriageway designed for fast traffic with relatively few places for joining or exiting.
Considering the;
countless trotro stops, entry and exit points, bad exit lanes for trotros when they suddenly pull over etc; is this road still a functioning motorway?? 🤔🤔
Private citizens have to teach the police the correct work process so sad , it's sad....common ticketing system a hole Ghanaian police force what are you telling us....
The system needs more improvement, you cannot take people's away from them and impound it till they face the court.
the host (man) asked a senseless question to the last man and I like his response why don't you give a ticket for the person come to court, why impounding a car for day for the person to come to court later
There should be a fine or ticket system.. That way they can even arrest a lot of drivers.. They just have to categorise the offences... When you are arrested you are given the ticket example 1000 cedis fine and you are told to appear at court within 48 hours.. Whereby you may be hit with an increment or your fine stays the same.. Now you will be registered on the police database as an offender.. You are also expected to pay the fine within a week.. Now you can only pay for the fine at say ghana commercial bank only... And you present a copy of the payment slip at the police station.. If you abscond you worsen your case and your charges will increase upon a second arrest.. Your details will be on the blacklist.. But the police need a computer database to be able to work effectively.. Tap into the dvla system and vehicles insurance database.
Please please, I am sure that the police would like an easier and efficient method to carry out this work. However, it takes time and money and honest people to develop and make the system work. Now that ‘they’ want change I am sure they are trying. So please let’s be happy that there is some movement in improving. And those drivers complaining of inconvenience, shame on you and your lies🙄🙄🙄

Absolutely right this is not a motorway but that doesn’t mean that we should break the law.
There is no need to impound the vehicles, because if there are damages, it will be at the cost of the police themselves. In every developed country, you issue a ticket to drivers and have them head to court and make payment. When the offense is repeated, their license is revoked. I believe we could do better than this.
Challey them no go fix the road but always arresting people. The whole dahwenya to tetteh quarahie road has outlived it's usefulness

The system is too manual... IGP can get the police some tablets or phones to issue tickets.
These people have committed an offence and they accept it but why should the police impound their vehicle after issuing them for court.. The Police are totally unprofessional, you can clearly tell they ain't use to this act, normally they would have taken some money and let it slide if not for the camera...
That arrogant lawless bloke asking the police to commit the 20 officers to fight armed robbery should know more people die or get injured from indisciplined motorists like him than from armed robbers. People should learn to own up their mistakes and stop insulting our intelligence.
It is a dangerous and foolish act to try and do a u-turn on a motorway. Incredible selfish. Do not cry, "Fix The Country" while committing illegal acts.
