I remember playing Melee and just stumbling across these "challenger approaching" screens. I had no idea what the final roster would be, or what characters I would unlock. I miss that. Everyone already knew what all the characters were going into this game.
Lol my siblings and I just constantly played normal matches and unlocked everyone. Did it for *Brawl* & *Smash 4* too. It's just more fun that way because of the suspense of not knowing who the winner of the match will face. Even with *Ultimate* it's like already spoiled but the suspense after a fight is there just not as great other than that it's fun eh

Fun Trick: If You Die During A Hidden Character Fight, Is Difficulty Will Go Lower. So At Least Die Like 4 Or 5 Times To Make It Easier To Unlock Your Character. :)
I grinded thousands of hours on smash 3ds growing up. I had it for the Wii U aswell but I never really played on it that much. Loved this game, Nintendo could've made this the best smash ever.
I’m anticipating how we’ll unlock the characters in Smash Ultimate, because it will obviously be harder than in Sm4sh. Maybe we’ll unlock them through Spirits, or through different game modes like in the other titles. Or as an alternate method, also like in the other games, unlock them as you battle VS. matches, but have the gap really small, like 2-3 battles to unlock Peach, and 2-3 more to unlock Daisy/Bowser, and so on
People say duck hunt is the hardest because you have to get one kill. I did it in 3 trys. But Rob is the hardest. Crazy orders. I was so close to getting it First try.

Almost everyone on top are all Mario Characters except for Mr Game and Watch and Little Mac The next role are characters from the legend of Zelda Meteroid Kid Icurus and Fire emblem The next role is Duck hunt Characters from Kirby Starfox and Pokemon Then the last two roles are mixed up
Sigh...RIP Zelda's Twilight Princess design! My favorite look of Zelda, by far. I have mixed feelings about the roster starting with this game. Certain goofy characters have been added that I could live without like Duck Hunt Lucina Wii Fit Trainer Cloud Corrin and Bayonetta. Say what you will, but I look back at Brawl's awesome cast and realize how much happier I was with that roster. The big saving grace for me though is the addition of Palutena! My main alongside Kirby! ❤️
i just bought all the dlc characters for this game and finally beat 9.0 classic mode for the first time, i have tons of memories with this game and its criminally underappreciated for sure

probably not. Since you unlock yhem all by just playing enough matches. Every 4-5 matches you get a new character ( Not counting Adventure Mode, Not counting DLC fighters. [I know I'm 1 year late commenting this, but oh well, you can't be early for everything])
Funny how Captain Falcon beated Lucina with the Falcon Punch, a big nod to her reveal trailer if I say so myself. It's too bad Robin couldn't have intervened though....
