Hi Nanya, can I suggest after trimming off the spilt ends, start tucking your ends up. If you are looking to increase length you have to tuck away your ends. Invest in a few satin or silk scarves and scrunchies and tie your hair up. That should solve your issue. Try to do that consistently for a few months and you will see an improvement. I can recommend that to you because I have waist length hair, aiming for tailbone length and that’s what I did.

@@fireofmoonwiccan hiii✨, thank you so much for this🥰, I didn’t prioritize tucking my ends up

I’ll try to do that more often, even with the state of my new hair🤭,
      Thanks for sharing 💕

I feel your pain, my hair is stagnant too because whatever growth I get is trimmed of because of slipt ends.. relaxer is never an option but I've considered being like a blow out natural but honestly I'm too lazy for that and I would need a less damaging tool like a rev air or something..I need to just be a big girl and cut a few inches and start over

Honestly I think cutting those inches will help🥲

And let it be done professionally because i usually do mine myself and I think that’s one of the cause of my hair problem 😭

I feel this! Just last Sunday night, I was like f*ck everything and ended up cutting all of my hair off (big chop). I was just over my hair and wanted to start all over. NGL, my mood this week has been so much BETTER! I didn't realize how much stress that hair was putting on me. Literally sitting here with a shower cap on now just deep conditioning my hair.

@@NanyaNduka same, I trim it myself too a nd I think its part of the problem yes but I also don't have access to good salons. Last year I tried one (in Senegal) and I kid you not, they gathered my hair in four directions and evened it (like put all of my hair to the front, even it, put all of it to the right then even it, and so on). And my hair got so much worse after that...

I'm sorry you had to go through that and I'm glad you still love your natural hair. I understand hair care can be overwhelming at times. That's why it's important to simplify your routine. Start with little hair care practices you can be consistent with and soon you'd see how far you've come. In the aspect of protective styling, you can try braids and see if it will work out for you. It really helped me retain length. Good luck! 🌸

I really love braids but taking them down after a long while can be alot

And then making hair with extensions can be expensive
Honestly it’s tiring but I love my hair regardless 🥰

    I just started watching a UA-camr that’s a hair scientist.
She explains EVERYTHING about our natural hair and what we should be actually doing.
A lot of naturals are struggling and her channel literally opened my eyes so much. I feel like I actually KNOW what to do with my hair now.
    Her channel is called CynDoll.
