@@BigReecey they are some classic 90's style RPGs. I enjoyed the first four quite a bit. And thanks for the very kind compliment, I appreciate that man! More artbook viewings to come
Art books are becoming the new manuals that we love to look through. A coworker of mine in another state says the main extras of physical media are preorders, these are worth it
Great tour of this book, my friend! Also appreciate your experiences you mentioned here too. I really hope Capcom puts these in a collection or a remaster or something!
@@infernofoxgaming10 I'd honestly just be happy with a collection of the first four games with improved translations for the SNES titles lol. Glad you enjoyed the book. Had a feeling you'd like this one as a fellow Breath of Fire fan
Longtime BoF fan here so I'm down to peek at this with you. The artwork was always so good; even the Westernized comic format was fun, but I do enjoy the original works. The close-ups of the characters are really nice. The "Shin" fusion was always one of my favorites. Long been a sucker for great weapon/item art too. That were-Katt fusion too, so cool. I really do adore BoF III; it took everything that was so good of the previous duo and amped it all up. Oh yeah, I forgot about the mobile game; I remember when it was announced thinking wait, what--but more importantly, WHY!? lol
@@DoYouNerd I remember that from the Halloween special you were on last year! Love it when I see another Breath of Fire fan out there. I think Puka was my favorite Karn fusion back in the day, but that was back in the 90's so who knows if I am remembering that correctly lol. Did you ever play Breath of Fire V?
@@FeralInferno Oh that's right, my chance to chat the Romero reference! Always dug that Easter egg. Another thing fun about the transformations were their use in the overhead world too--your Puka mention reminded me of that. I have it, but everything I heard about V had me staying away. I really need to feel it out for myself, but it certainly felt like "not my" BoF from all I read on it.
@@TheRetroManRandySavage they weren't quite as big as Final Fantasy and it's possible the European region missed out on some of the Breath of Fire titles
@@XI_Daisy_XI I wasn't doing much gaming in the mid to late 90s. I was a concrete finisher at the time, working 12hrs a day. I was going to bed as soon as I got in during the week. And the weekends I was out travelling the country going to raves. Then I went in the army in 99. So gaming was a big no no, unfortunately. 😂
