The Backstreet Boys didn't break when Kevin went away.
Nick, Howie, Brian and AJ remained together and released two albums called Unbrekable (2007) and This Is Us (2009) and other solo albums.
They appeared on Good Day America Morning 31/08/2012 to advertise that Kevin is back. They said that the new album is ready and will be the third cruise trip next year.
Then they did a amazing performance singing some sucess songs showing that they are the best boyband in the world. - Розваги

I so want to go on that cruise! But I bet it would cost an arm and a leg. Maybe a kidney on the black market. It'd be expensive but totally worth it. I've been a fan of BSB since I was 7 years old.

Kevin never really left. He made guest appearances right and left and concerts. He might have been working on other things, but it was all just a publicity thing. He never TRULY left. He just backed off for a bit and let them do their thing, popping up from time to time. But now he dedicated ALL of himself again, so to say he LEFT is not true. He was still there. Just didn't show up as much as the other four because he had a family. Now he's back permanently.
U are right althought when he is not bsb member anymore but its just on camera, in real live he still around them, nick even mention it in his book and his interview that kevin was there when he in strugle with cardiac heart and overweight. Howie and brian said many times they hangout together with kevin
