    I had one for 12 years when i was 20. Best bike money could buy. I never once opened the motor and sold it for 3000 bux after 12 years. Paid 5500. Best days of my life.

    I have a 2000 and it’s been a straight ripper.
    It’s every bit as clean as yours, I guess a couple of old guys owned the ones you and I have

      Mate they are a awesome bike I loved it. Only issue was sometimes it was hard to get parts (expansion chamber) yes a guy had it for a long time before me, mine was actually road registered believe it or not. Great bike definitely miss that one

    I’m looking at getting my first bike, would you recommend this

    • @youraussiematedean2506

      What riding would you be doing? How much would you be paying for the bike? It’s a great bike in my opinion, easy to work on and majority of parts are still available. Mine wasn’t expensive so if I drop it or scratch it, it’s not going to bother me

      I know this comment is 3 months old and you may have a bike, but I'll put in my 2 cents. I have one of these bikes, it's my second bike I've owned. For a first bike you'll probably take a lot of time to learn. While it's a forgiving 2 stroke, 2 strokes in nature aren't that forgiving. This bike has tons of power and before you know it you'll be flying at 50mph in a blink of an eye. For a first bike I would recommend a 4 stroke. Maybe something like a kawasaki or suzuki since the parts are a lot cheaper than this bike. I'd also go for something like a 230 4 stroke if I were to do one of those two. I may be wrong but I know when I first started riding this bike it would've thrown me into a tree or fence and killed me.

      @@samoliverio7455 I’ve already bought a bike but thank you for responding. I ended up buying a YZ250F and it is about all I can handle, I’m very glad I went with a four stroke because the power is always there and it is smooth

      Angry Labrador is this bike powerful I’ve been riding a Suzuki 200 would this thing be to hard to ride?

    • @youraussiematedean2506
      @youraussiematedean2506  3 роки тому

      Hi mate yes this bike powerful, it depends what you want. Easy to work on, reliable, light and nimble but mine was a 99 model so quite old.
      Depends what riding you do or want to do.
      If you want to just put fuel in something and ride, service now and again and reliable I would recommend a 4 stroke, any of the leading brands.

    I’m looking to get one but was wondering considering how old it is, is it difficult to find parts for at all?

    • @youraussiematedean2506
      @youraussiematedean2506  6 місяців тому

      @milkmaster7787 agreed.
      From memory I was able to get a rebuild kit for it (I did the top end) but you could get a bottom end also offline new.
      Was able to get a jd jetting kit, v force reeds, wiseco piston & gaskets, spark plugs, & plastics from a later model from memory.
      I couldn’t get an expansion chamber for it, they make one, but it was covid times.
      MXStore had a heap of stuff

    That's a farrrkin beautiful KTM there, Dean. I had the exact same bike and I sold it in 2019 to fund a later model 300 with electric start. I should never have sold the 200. It was such a sweet running, chuckable, lightweight bike that was in great condition (but not as pristine as your amazing example). I took a short vid of it idling after a cold start to send to the guy who bought it. ua-cam.com/video/JW9LQp-6JNc/v-deo.html

      Hey Ben! Thanks mate! Yeah nice I just watched your link, looks identical! Yours was pristine by the looks! Awesome bike hey! I couldn’t get a new exhaust for it or an expansion chamber from memory. I sold the bike to a guy who watches my videos funny enough, he was a nice guy.
      300 with a electric start eh, sounds sick! The 200 was an awesome bike. Definitely agree with you. I did a fair bit to the engine and carby, I was going through a rough time and this bike helped me through it. Happy riding mate 👌🏼🙏🏼
