But I understand if he's worried about this bcs there are lots of other actors who got to act in another movie or show IMMEDIATELY after one of their biggest role. Like Naomi Scott, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and more. So it's quite frustrating to be in his place.
Kaiaya. Smartest comment here. Well said!
Thats A LOT for actors.
Releavant GS It’s even longer considering most studios finish filming around 1-2 years before release. People always seem to think they film up until premiere 💀
He can start by casting in some indie movies. I mean, even some famous actors/ actress had been doing that.
True. Either he lays off the b lockbuster movies or go for TV series instead
It's sad, but I'm sure if he started dating a celebrity, contracts would start appearing.
He could make Prince of Persia 2. I loved that movie. He's so good looking. I hope they're just reserving him for another Disney or MCU movie.
He seems like a great actor to me
I wish Hollywood gave him a chance. He’s so brilliant- words can not explain it 😔
obviouly the race is the issue here.. do you think he would be able to land the Alladin role if he was not Egyptian?
Not true- Omer El Sheriff is Egyptian and many more
@@magimichel2598 Huh so? Omer El Sheriff isn't a dude I've heard about. And yet Chamalet for example, with his white bread-like charisma gets tons of roles.
I thought it was weired Naomi got the role of an Arab character while she was not Arab/Middle Eastern
@B Lor she can't do anything about being half indian because she look half indian lol
@B Lor would it fine if a pure middle eastern girl with blue eyes and white skin did her role?
I would watch because he’s a good actor, handsome and a great person overall. What more could u ask for? Just look at his smile
I think it’s because Alladin was such a huge success... and now he’s look is “too Alladin” for other characters right now. Directors don’t want to cast Alladin in their movies, they want an actor who can be easily seen as a another character without the audience seeing Alladin. He just needs to give it sometime.
Iris Pebbles That can’t be the reason - he has so many different looks 🤯
Right... and Leonardo DiCaprio wasn't seen as "too Jack Dawson" after Titanic which was his first real movie?... bullshit reasoning that makes zero sense
@@annisa8863 It's a real issue, it's called Typecasting. And you can't compare him to Mena, he'd had big hits before Titanic, people didn't associate him with Jack Dawson very much.
People who were typecasted usually play similar characters, like Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal, or Adam Sandler. Unfortunately, Aladdin was a very specific role, it's hard to find another place for him at the moment.
I'm sure he'll be fine, once his "Aladdin" persona washes off, directors will start considering him for another role.
*Aladdin. But I get what you mean. It's like with Daniel Radcliffe. He hasn't been in too many HUGE movies since Harry Potter and for awhile after the series ended it was hard to see him as anything but Harry Potter... he is still just Harry Potter.
@@xCandieex yes. Exactly like Radcliff. It happens especially if the movie, other than a BIG hit, is also your first movie. Think of all the people who blew up for their first role, then disappeared. Or even people like Macaulay kalkin, who went on with depression and drug addiction after being bullied.
Awww he’s so cute. Handsome, sweet and super talented
Just watched the royal treatment. First time watched him. He is amazing. And so charismatic!
Ah no 😭 he is an amazing actor. He should be getting more roles. I don’t understand why.
It’s sad, because he’s actually quite charming. The way he carries out comedic moments on his own, he just seems like a fun guy honestly.
I like him. He's too pure for Hollywood.
Shame he doesn't deserve this, he's such a good actor!
You also spelled Mena wrong
And Alaadin...
@@juska4235 yah I said that in another comment

my advice don't expect instant success. It took how many years and movies before RDJ became someone put a bet on him to be iron man. J. Depp lost his iconic role Jack sparrow because his wife framed him. Many Actors are fighting for a chance in a big screen don't be greedy and wait for an opportunity.
christian tan Rdj and Johnny Depp are white. It’s not the same thing.
@@evaholicc1 are u SERIOUSLY trying to bring race now?? RDJ went to prison johnny depp got his character taken away him when he was the one who brought it to life did being white brought them anything??
@Vanessa Asanga-Fombe they’re actors who worked hard to get where they are and it’s taken years!! Are you saying because he has done ONE movie he should be at their level because he isn’t white ????

LMAO, ikr i was gonna comment that
It's Aladdin, not Alladin either. They did that on purpose

But its spell Ala'din in arabic
You have to extent the tone and the tongue to spell it right

When they spell french or arabic stuff
They don't spell it right

He has so much potential. I wish him the best in his acting career.
Mena is handsome actor and I love him so much. I love sweetest Egyptian/Canadian actor. He’s my favorite actor with his Passion, smiling, Compassion, kind and warm hearted. 🇪🇬🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
“Studied Neuroscience at UofT but switched to acting” AT RYERSON! He switched to Ryerson
I think He’s gonna get more roles soon, like more and more further
Charlie's Angels was a huge bomb, Naomi may have to watch herself too.
Naomi is beautiful and talented she be fine
Gaur8n Naomi is really talented with a bright future. One bad movie won't hurt her
Worst movie in years
Naomi will atleast have a better because she,s white passing....I mean she looks like a straight white girl
@@mikemadsen7926 I am happy that naomi din't came to Bollywood because ifi is a racist industry.
Few days ago an outsider name @sushantSinghrajput killed himself because he was not getting roles. I don't want this to happen with mena..
Mana Massoud: Hey Hollywood, got any roles for me?
Hollywood: Who are you?
Mana Massoud: You know, I did Aladdin?
Hollywood:............We'll call you when we need a terrorist 👍
If I was approached and was asked to act as terrorist I’d take it before they could finish the sentence, in the end he’s still being paid more than a Soldier, Police Officer, EMT and Nurse combined.
Damn the reality
Yea and he would be apart of pushing the idea that all middle eastern men are bad guys. This will directly impact people. It's a tough moral position.
His name is MENA not Mana !!!!
Or to play the slave sidekick in a movie where a white guy becomes the king of Arabia by some white magic
Misspelled his name, misspelled Aladdin.
He's gorgeous and talented. And the audiences love him. I can't see the reason why he can't get a role expect Hollywood being racist.
He could lend his voice in animation.
Omg my heart jumped when u mentioned Omar AlSherrif!!!! Thank you so so so so so much for mentioning this Legend. May his soul Rest In Paradise❤️🙏🏻
For the record hen was SO BIG in the Egyptian film industry and modern egy. culture as a whole. He mad several international films too.
He has great looks and great charisma. But honestly his acting was mediocre. Not super and cant really say its skilled. Without will smith and naomi aladdin is meh
That’s terrible I’d have Mena in all my movies and he’d play a romantic guy
He’s hott! So I don’t get why he can’t get a role I’ve seen famous of people with half his talent land a role... I don’t get it. I hope he finds a breakthrough role soon!
Like?
These other people are propably Illuminati members.... that's why they get roles !
I know right?? He's freaking handsome and I can't take that back😍
After that bs he said about The Little Mermaid, I don't feel bad & it's clear this sort of prejudice will continue for him. His hating ass
What did he say? I’ve missed it. 😮
We ALL know the reason why. I hope he doesn’t give up and just keep pursuing. He is a talented and handsome guy.
That beautiful smile should land him so many roles. Such a waste that he can even get auditions
That’s terrible. He’s such a great actor!!
I want to see him more often lol
He's gorgeous, should be a model if nothing else.
Tim Downey you are gay

I wish they could cast him in Messiah season 2 on Netflix...
I just have a thought that he is gonna be awesome if he take part in Netflix original series, and then found this comment.. really agree with you!
He's in a show called Reprisal on Hulu...it's really good, but I did want to know about Messiah and if it was good too!
@hey alexa messiah looks like mena alott. i can't believe that that man playing messiah is so underrated he doesn't have verified on instagram it's sad because he deserves the recognition because of his incredible acting
2:57 Is it me Or Rami here looks like Bruno Mars
He looks a cross between a young Mark Ruffalo
He needs to be patient and good things will come.
He's proven already his ambition by landing a big movie and even landing any role in Hollywood.
He can do it again.
Even the biggest stars go through lows or dry periods - he's still young.
Plenty of time to shine.
They should hire him for a Prince biopic! My mom and I say he looks like him!
He is GOORRRRRRGEOUS🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
He was suiting 100% for the character of Aladdin. Waiting him as Aladdin for Aladdin 2
They will never make a part 2
He is perfect for the role of Prince of Persia.
Mena is definitely talented, good looking and played an amazing Aladdin. He seems like a pretty smart guy too. It's so extremely disappointing to hear this.
*_What do you think is the real reason behind Mena Massoud’s audition struggles?_*
In 5 words: the color of his skin.
Hollywood hate everyone who dont sell their soul to them.
Not necessarily his skin colour more so his ethnicity because blacks or Hispanic with his colour can get a lot of roles and there is only one role for middle eastern male and we all know what is
@@kpopandchill9603 Again, I think the absolute basis of all prejudice is ignorance and generalization . That's the voice of a man stoking the fires of hate for political gain. I am not saying that you shouldn't dislike another team, but to hate another for no apparent reason is stupid.
@@PoisonelleMisty4311 agreed
@@PoisonelleMisty4311 EXACTLY
He is so handsome and talented. He deserves more; but acting is hard in general. Plus him being ethnic makes it difficult. I hope he gets something. I would support him.
He should work in Bollywood he would definitely get more the 1 million USD for an film (which he got for Aladdin) as Hollywood don't give more money to actors like mena
He’s such a breath of fresh air enjoyed his Acting in Aladdin sooo much, actually I loved the movie more than I expected because of the actors in the movie great acting great performing honestly especially Mena 😍 even Naomi was amazing ❤️
Everything has its timing, especially in this industry (if I remember correctly, Harrison Ford did not get his break out role until he was 40-something, when he was in Star Wars.) I think it is just not Mena's time yet.
Fred F but his breakout role was Aladdin. And now where is he?
@@hasibrahim I feel like the standalone character in that film wasn't really Aladdin himself... sadly, it was overshadowed by Will Smith's Genie. imho It was also overshadowed by the actress who played Jasmine. The fact that he was playing th title character, a lot of expectations were heaped on him and it fell short.
I can see him in star wars with that white shirt and blue robe outfit :-) thanks me later
Why would someone want to sign a man who gives the same expression in every different scene..
hes too good for them, he deserves so much more
Name: Mena massoud
Title: mana massoud
Me: hmmm...🤔🤔
I hope he gets a huge break on a future James Bond Movie, he could get casted as a good double spy villain
Hollywood is way too dark for his purity
He’s so talented.
I actually have been working on a script about an Italian family and organized crime in the early 20th century and he would be PERFECT for one of the main roles as the eldest brother. Mena, if I get this on the road somehow, I'll cast you in a heartbeat.
I have a few scripts I've been writing myself...everything's set up in my basement if he wants I'll hire him in a heartbeat 😂😂😂
Hes good looking and his acting was good
There's two possible reasons for him not getting auditioned:
1: Aladdin has put him into Type-Cast territory, and people will only hire him for similar roles.
2. He may be considered 'too picky' by some producers in Hollywood when he said he wouldn't play a terrorist type character.
Either option is possible
i suggest 2 maybe +
3. maybe psd off Naomi's Husband who is a friend to Will Smith.
That's truly sad to hear..looks like he may have to change his career . Wish him well in life. He was great in Aladdin.
You are such a pessimist in life.
1. Dont call him Aladdin
Type casting kills careers
MENA DESERVES MORE!!
Its truly very sad for himm
It’s spelled Aladdin and Mena. Not alladin or mana 😓
Abe Olivares oh my allah
Lmao I just realized that 😂
It's been less than a year sine Aladdin was released. The kid needs to be patient. Berkhad Abdi won an Oscar and didn't get a role till 2 years later.
Oh and Hollywood is a bit racist too. :/
eon001 that’s what I was thinking too. He needs to be patient and keep hustling. Also look into some new agents
I actually just watched Aladdin the other day and I thought he did a great job! I don’t have any prior bias as I haven’t watched any prior renditions of this story! I hope he lands other acting gigs!
I'd cast him any day once I manage to become a director
Avan jogia actually wanted to be the Aladdin in the movie
Beck from victorious? A lot of people say he looks like aladdin but im happy mena got this role
I feel like you guys are exaggerating how talented he is. There are much better actors who are still out of work. A few of them white too.
Pretty privilege is working in his favour
If Mena watches this video, he is gonna be so much offended with the title
Please Hollywood, take him to a play in romcom!!! He is SO CHARMING 😍
mena is a great actor i want more of him
It’s because there aren’t that many roles for his ethnicity. He better work hard on his comedic timing to survive Hollywood like Kumail Nanjiani.
