Tibia rotating inside isn't a problem as long as the rotation of femur follows (otherwise ACL tear). If you actually watch a lot of slow motion tape, you'll see this rotation is natural in athletes, kids and indigenous people coming from high gear position as well. The rotational axis isn't the big toe of course, more like 3rd and 4th metatarsals.

I think i agree. Just look at michael jordan's internal rotation. Its crazy.
