Oh nice, an alternative to Cokaliong and Starlite. Though I'll stick to Cokaliong, since going from my home town in surigao del sur to surigao city takes 4 hours. And I usually arrive at port in 2-3PM, and by then Starlite and Oceanjet already left. But for vice versa Oceanjet could be a nice morning ride though travel time would take all day, from cebu to surigao then to Surigao Del Sur. Another super comment because I got a lot of money from my aunt in cebu this Christmas, keep it up 👍.
Me and my family tried this route 25 years ago to get faster to Butuan via Surigao rather than taking the usual overnight ferry to Nasipit from Cebu. We took one of Waterjet’s HSC that serviced Cebu to Surigao at the time with a brief layover at Maasin in late February of 1999. The trip was smooth due to the Amihan season. I do recall we bought a lot of budbod moron at Maasin. A couple of days later, we took Cebu Ferries back to Cebu. That’s when I took a video of the burnt hulk of Negros Navigation’s St. Francis of Assisi still tied to the port of Nasipit, which burnt down a month prior.. It's so refreshing watching a video like this. I have been a fan of barko vlog since I traveled often. Sailing in the ocean with a very nice accommodating vessel makes you feel comfortable, secure, and relaxed. Keep it up sir! Hope to see more of your barko vlogs. 👍
Thanks for this vlog Sir Mark, it brought me alot of memories. the last time I had this trip to maasin from cebu was way back 1997, we rode the waterjet. it was a catamaran like the supercat and sea angels before. this boat is smaller and challenging,😂 kuyawa!.😂. btw i rode the Manila-bacolod-iloilo-cagayan and vice versa with 2go. nice and relaxing. thanks for that vlog. next jan 2go announced the mnl-gen san-davao via cebu. Im sure you would be on the maiden voyage.😂 pls dont forget to place the price of the accommodation.
