Hello friend! I'm German and I love drinking beer. Unfortunately, over the last few years, our small pubs have been gradually disappearing. I just wanted to let you know that I drink a few beers and toast with you every time you show. Greetings from Germany and Merry Christmas my friend! Ingo
I am from Florida and it would be incredible to join you on a pub crawl someday as I would learn so much. Hope to visit your part of the world in 2026. Love your channel and cheers!!!
After buying the meat for Sunday in Market, Saturday pub crawl was, Market Tavern,( long gone), Regent, Scotsman, Royal Oak(Irish pub at time) and then The Brougham Arms (now Duck and Drake) 5 pints at age 14,with my Dad, Mum wondered why I liked to go shopping.
Love the head of steam. I've been going that pub 20 odd years now and before it was the head of steam is was called spencers. Some what a Leeds utd fans pub and a brilliant place to go on match days.
Love this! I moved to Leeds about a year and a half ago for work on my own and I do love a good pub crawl whenever my old uni mates come up to visit. All my mates live down south near Wales where I’m from so I tend to just go to the pub by myself to watch the footy these days - would be great to join you on a pub crawl 😅
I've lived outside the UK for over 16yrs, but watching this video has made me homesick. I'll try to get around some of these pubs next time I'm in Leeds. Thanks for the heads up!
Hey up mate! I’m so glad I’ve found your channel. I grew up in The Headland - Hartlepool. So as for my own selfish reasons I would love to see some content there. I’ve been living in America for over 4-5 years now, and me and the family will be heading back sometime this year. If it’s one thing the UK does right, it’s definitely the pubs ❤ 🍻 cheers
Top man! Didcovered you a couple of weeks back. Love your vibe (and those guys always trailing around behind you! hahhaaaha! love that wee old pensioner!) and how passionate you are. Best from outside Philadelphia in the totally fooked USA. Merry Christmas, Tommy
Leeds is my town of birth, but I left the country in my early twenties. Three pubs encapsute my wonderful Leeds experience. The Forde green. In the heart of Harehills. A rough and ready pub that was my go to. The White Stag on the outskirts of the city in the direction of Harehills. A proper Irish pub with great beer and live music. And lastly the fathasum. A uni pub at the time with a great beer garden. Don't know if any are still around ❤
Forde green is gone but the building still stands. My dad, Shaun black burn had the best night's with his bands playing there. So props to you, one in a great crowd!
Im a leeds local, traveled the world now back again. I tuned in to see if youd pop in the Duck and Drake... overjoyed it was your first stop. All the other great rock pubs are gone (The Dutchess) but so happy the Drake is still about! Subbed!
Spoilt for choice still in Leeds by the looks of it 🍻 cracking few pubs. I’ve been to a few of the brewery tap rooms south of the river and be a good future trip that.
Yes I’ve really been lacking in Leeds overall, there’s loads of great looking spots I’m yet to visit, got a few video ideas for there for next year 👀 cheers 🍻
Enjoyed this trip down memory lane, worked in LCC back in the day, good old Duck & Drake. You must try The Ship Inn - iconic. Cheers & merry Christmas!

Watching from Australia and enjoying the Chanel. Please can you go to Ossett ? Would be great seeing familiar faces and wow you have to try the beer xx
Absolutely love the pubs and bars in Leeds. I could easily name another 20 at least as good as the ones you went to, all within walking distance. Can’t think of any other city in the UK that’s as good
When i worked in Leeds CC on bridge street at the old AEU house now a parkside college building the templar was our local many a legendary night in there often a case of "we will go for one ...." 5 hours later lol
We watched this one yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. We subscribed a week ago and are trying to catch up on your content. We are frequent travelers to the UK from North Carolina and no matter where we are we enjoy checking out the local pubs and ales. So far I find the pubs and ales of Yorkshire most enjoyable but can honestly say I've yet to be disappointed. Cheers from NC
Hi! German Castleford Tigers Fan here, so I've been around Leeds quite a bit. and I love British Pubs. I was sure you'd frequent the Head of Steam with it being so central. I was hoping for the Duck and Drake, absolutely great pub with good music, as you said. And I've been to the Templar's, too, a couple of times. Great atmosphere there, like you mentioned. Keep the Videos up and Cheers!
Wow a German Castleford Tigers fan, now that must be rarity. I am a Hull KR fan and it is great that the fantastic game of rugby league has a following on the continent. Enjoy your visits to Yorkshire in 2025 including the wonderful pubs and a Merry Christmas to you.
I agree with your choice of pubs in Leeds preston chorley even newcastle I'm and around 10 of my friends love stout porter and milds by the way great channel
Lived in Leeds all my life. Been in the Templar and Duck & Drake before... but not the others. For people who don't know Leeds, all those pubs are within 5/10 mins walk of each other. Leeds is not a big a city centre as some might think. Templar is the only one slightly out of the way of the others, being towards the top end of town, but not a big drag.
Another great video! Bundobust looks like an interesting place - wouldn’t have thought you can just go in for a pint from the outside but now we know! Cheers and Merry Christmas 🍻 🎄
Hello well the first pub, the Duck and Drake, they filmed “the bank of Dave there” I like that boozer! Rio Ferdinand had a bar over the road years ago. Now a barbers! I’m originally from Bradford, but now live in Leeds. Old Pec on tap, always a favourite! It’s rocking on an evening! Should have tried the Crowd of favours next door, cracking Guinness! Not been in the 2nd! Lamb and flag - little gem! 💎 loves mixing the drinks, I can’t do that! Got to stick to a stout or a lager. Kirkgate market too expensive for a boozer! Templar YES!! proper boozer! My mates won’t go in, missing a treat! I’ve seen the rest, you need to go in the Angel, the ship and Whitlock’s! I’ll come with you 🍻🤣 great videos

@neilboulton9813 although we do get less known ales from UK here in the Isle of Man I've never seen Belgium Blue...maybe I need to nip over to West Yorkshire after New year👍🍺😃
I used to live in Leeds many a year ago now live in Thailand for the past 20 years. The Duck & Drake use to be a Tmothy Taylors pub or at least had the best Landlord on tap. The Head of Steam was called the Scarborough Arms perhaps because the rail line to Scarborough was just opposite. Thanks for a walk around Leeds centre, can see not too much has changed except the prices, when I was last there pints were £1.85 to £2.30. Cheers 👍
The head of steam was called SPENSERS. The black lion was on the opposite side of the road further down and the scarborough arms (taps) is around the corner on same side as head of steam .

Personally i would never go to pubs on weekday afternoons as they are too quiet so whats the point paying 5x as much as what you would pay in a supermarket? Also the beers havent been turning over at quiet periods so half your pint has probably been sitting in the pipe since the day before.
