Soshangana kaZikode was the founder and first king of the Gaza Empire. Soshangana was a skilled military leader who led the Ndwandwe people in a series of wars against their rivals, the Zulus, during the Mfecane war period and they settled in modern-day Mozambique with the Tsonga people.

that defeat is technically what actually saved Dingane from Shaka's troops. The penalty for failure was execution....so the troops were relieved to learn about the assassination. The only person who opposed Dingane was Mdlaka , the head of the entire army. But he was quickly disposed of by Dingane.
