I think he’s guilty. Why did his girlfriend testify for the prosecution? His spaghetti dinner alibi was his family’s attempt to save their son. Justice for Paul Howell and his family. Whether he was the shooter or not, I believe he was involved.

    • @rockyrox4591
      @rockyrox4591 2 роки тому +15

There’s plenty cases where girlfriends and even family members testify on prosecution because of being threatened by the detectives.
As simple as confusing and tripping the girlfriend up in her own words after ten hours of exhausting interrogation- you may be willing to sign and say ANYTHING just to GO home and figure you will have it resolved by a lawyer later- not understanding it’s never that easy. A detective threatening that you yourself will see jail time for perjury (for something so small and trivial) but definitely possible- and depending on your situation - say you are sole caregiver for your sick father or primary child care for your siblings or other family- the risk of jail time outweighs your loyalty when you are boiled down to two choices of bad or worse.
And to never have engaged with police before- not knowing your rights takes on a whole series of likelihood for the police to get from you EXACTLY what they WANT out of you.

Yeah for sure! I can't remember the case,I just learned of it on this channel yesterday, but after a couple decades in prison he gets an appeal and the judge says yeah it seems you're innocent....buuuuutt we can't let you out. That is a tragedy and failure. America truly destroyed this man, robbed him of his freedom, his trail was even stolen from him (he didn't receive a fair unbiased trial, his attorney didn't even present a case, and witnesses and alibi's we're bought and paid for) He was taken from his family and country, basically kidnapped and held hostage for decades....Finally he receives a miracle in the form of a S class attorney and judge /jury that hadn't been bought or intimidated..it was proven he was guilty only for that door be slammed in his face because some ancient document written hundreds of years ago that we don't question (even though it was written before electricity was discovered and by colonists that had just revolted and taken power of a country frustrated with a unfair government imposing ridiculous and outdated laws...sounds familiar..oh yeah those people still had slaves while screaming for freedom...witches were thing too lol) Apparently it isn't stated anywhere that innocence is a reason you can be released early from prison...WTF?!MAYBE FIND A LOOP HOLE THAT BENEFITS HIM or you know maybe write some new shit for the times we now live in.
I'm sorry that was long and probably sounds like a crazy person wrote it. It's my worst nightmare, going away for a crime I didn't commit and should be avoidable by now. Also, I'm not an expert and definitely not qualified to give legal advice but I'm qualified to call bullshit and raise hell!!!it was a case with a guy from Trinidad, but lives in England, on a business trip to Miami and was framed by the cartel for a murder of two Asian men that had been stealing from them. Question Everything and Trust Nothing.

HE WOULD NEVER EVER ADMIT TO IT and would swear that I had not seen him do anything. When he was 19, the police showed up at my door and were going to arrest him for drug possession. They started complaining to me about him. I said “Do your job!” They were horrified that I didn’t stand up for him. I repeated “Do your job.” They took a dislike to me and threw his drugs on the ground and squished them into the ground with a foot, then let him go. He is 51 now and we haven’t spoken for decades. I doubt he has ever been held accountable for anything.

I sometimes feel bad when I watch these shows. I am a mom, wife, employee, daughter etc. that believes and lives- you stand up for what you did. You do not lie about anything. You take the consequence for your actions and decisions. Example: If you studied hard for a test- consequence is an A. If not, consequence is less and maybe failure.
Taking it to the next level- if you harmed someone, admit and take the consequence. I will not take part in any fabrication.
That being said, I have three successful, grown children. But I’d never back them in a lie and they knew it. Not even to save their hide.
Don’t do or say anything you’re not willing to take the consequence for.
I’ve seen parents do this for their children and they are robbing them from a successful future and rewarding life.

As a mother that hurts. I brought up both my sons to tell the truth. When they made mistakes, do their best to make it right. My kids grew up in poverty, I am a single mom, but when my son was 17 his Dad found him an old car, and fixed it up. Problem was I didn't have money to give him for gas and he didn't have a job yet. So he foolishly gassed up his car, and took off without paying. He came home later that night , having a panic attack, and broke down in tears, I asked what was wrong? He spilled the whole thing to me. Upon retrospect, he knew his car was pretty identifiable being an older model, and he felt guilty for stealing it, it was an impulse decision. I told him there was only one thing to do, go to the police and tell the truth. So the next day that's what we did. I realize this situation in no way compares to this awful event. I also realize parents can be fooled or mistaken, we aren't perfect. He ended up with a fine and community service and never broke the law again. And my son wasn't a straight looking football player, he was into that goth stuff at the time, I distinctly remember his hair was green and he had a horrible mohawk. But that didn't make the policeman we went to look down on him , surprisingly. To be honest he looked a little scary, all dressed in black. But they treated him fairly. But would they all have?
Let me tell you the problem I have with some policemen, they aren't perfect either. After watching so many of these shows, I see how manipulative they can be, how frightening they can be; and how they are allowed to lie to their suspects. So a double standard there don't you think? I bring my kid up to tell the truth, but the people supposed to keep law and order are legally allowed to lie!
You know what I would tell my child now if he was charged with a serious offence? Keep your mouth shut and get a lawyer. It breaks my heart. I do believe in morals, my sons are moral individuals. I would not encourage them to lie nor lie myself, but I would now recommend staying silent if they were accused of anything serious. ( and my feelings on lawyers.... ugh don't even get me started!)
Honestly I am so thankful for policeman, its a tough job, that's underpaid, taxing mentally, physically and emotionally. I respect them in general, they have come to my aid so many times. Thank you for being there when my car broke down at 2 am in a bad part of town, and making sure I got home safely! Thank you for being there when my ex was drunk ,threatening me.
I just believe that they should be held to the same standard that we SHOULD hold ourselves and our children to. Don't lie, Don't steal, Don't ever hurt anyone., and respect authority figures and work hard,
Sadly, if I had seen all that you had, I probably wouldn't believe moms either. But, there are some of us that you could believe. I guess the trick is learning to tell the difference, Which is an impossibility.... I have gotten much better at it as a human , but I am old and it took me a long time. There are good and bad people on both sides.
Thank you for your service to the community.

Agreed. There's plenty of evidence showing he's guilty and zero, after the fact "evidence", showing it wasn't him after all. His family giving him an alibi After his conviction, was completely destroyed by his family friends & girlfriend who confirmed that Alibi was for the night before the cold blooded murder not the night of. The "it's not my bandanna" theory destroyed by DNA evidence. Like literally every excuse which has been come up with, has been investigated and determined to be a lie. He should really be honest with his family and supporters about his actions that night he killed an innocent father in order to steal his vehicle, but it seems he just loves all the attention he's getting and the control over he has over his family members outside of the prison walls. I hope he comes clean for their sake, so they can move on with their lives, and for his own eternity's sake.

So his friends are pointing him out, he's sending threatening letters to his girlfriend. He went there to take that guy's car, with a gun. There are times when people are falsely accused or convicted on shallow evidence, this is not one of them. I'm curious to why the celebrities never rush out to advocate for the victims? As has happened in other cases, his conviction should be set aside and he should be granted a new trial. As the chair of the pardon and parole board said, people should not be executed if there are doubts and there are doubts here. I hate when people get attached to one position and are unwilling to look with fresh eyes. Paul Howell is not forgotten here. From what I know it does appear as though he is guilty of this crime though I absolutely agree with the person who said he didn't receive a fair trial. At the very least, he should have had an experienced attorney representing him. In all of the true crime I've researched over the years, I'm not sure that I have ever come across a case where an attorney who has never tried a murder/death penalty case has been assigned as head of defense legal team. In fact, in cases where the defendant has hired their own counsel, judges usually won't even allow them to retain inexperienced attorneys and if they want to keep that particular attorney, they have to add and work with one who has experience in capital murder cases (or whatever type of murder cases/possible sentence the case is).

You can split hairs all you want but at the end of the day, guilty or not, he was not given a fair trial, nor was he given a vigorous defense and representation.
Death sentence cases must be the most rigorously reviewed cases in the so-called criminal justice system. You don’t make deals with criminals or give the defendant an over worked PD to defend them.
No matter your position on an individual you ought to support the equal protection and application of the law to all. If one injury and injustice is allowed to occur, then we’re all equally responsible.
When an individual is executed the manner of death is listed as homicide and the sentence is carried out by the state. The state is you, me, and every other citizen.

These celebrities 🤣🤣.. I still remember when the Jussie Smollett alleged “hate crime” surfaced, every celebrities couldn’t wait to come out to condemn Trump supporters (I’m not a trump supporter, I think that dude is a freaking clown), but when the truth came out, those same celebrities didn’t say a damn thing 🤣🤣

Might have been a bit more eager to jump at Trump seeing as how he so strongly sought to condemn the Central Park Five and spent years trying to have innocent men convicted and put to death based on nothing more than his own hatred and ignorance. Hate begets hate. However, I did see several people walk back their statements when the truth came out about Smollett. Literally HUNDREDS of articles, interviews and statements.... But never once a word from Trump after he sought to have 5 innocent men killed. (In only ONE of many instances throughout his life where he demonstrated more of the same.) Perhaps if you follow a wider variety of sources you would also have seen the many people who did speak up about Smollett, many condemning him while also acknowledging their own wrongness. It wasn't blowing up the airwaves, but many celebrities DO use their voice to speak out and WILL right their wrongs.

Even in the most favorable light, Jones was an accomplice to the murder. Under the law all involved in a murder are guilty of the murder, regardless as to who pulled the trigger.
The only injustice here is that Jones accomplice only got 15 years.

Well put, I’ve said on this video but I’ve done my own research about this and don’t think there’s much doubt about his crime. Meagen, his sister, has been called a liar and horrible things. She’s a great woman and a great mom to her kids. RIP Paul Howell.

Before jumping on a bandwagon and getting involved in advocacy, people need to look critically and deeply at these cases and not just accept what a celebrity tells them at face value. Access public records, read trial transcripts and appellate decisions where possible before being part of something that causes the victim’s family further pain. People need to understand as well that there’s a difference between journalism and advocacy journalism, and calling something a “documentary” does not mean it is 100% factual or accurate. On first blush, I assumed the West Memphis 3, Steven Avery and Sam Shepherd were all innocent because that’s the narrative of choice in the popular media, but upon researching them for a podcast project I had to conclude that they’re all in fact guilty, even if there were procedural problems with their trials.

I hate the fact that these celebrities use their power and money to meddle in things they have no real clue about, believing what they are spoonfed and are deluded into thinking they are somehow helping humanity. Their profession is such a vain one and their egos so big that they just seem to like the idea that they can manipulate justice. Julius Jones is guilty as hell. The fact that they do this in the face of the victim's family just enrages me and makes me feel so sorry for Paul Howell's family.

It doesn’t seem like he received a fair trial considering his attorney was not even a licensed attorney when he was representing the defendant. I think the evidence points more towards guilt. But a retrial seems appropriate
