Hey! The "Screw driver" heads i usually call them "general" heads, simply because you generally want to use that one. Generally the smaller the tip the smaller things you can solder, but the bigger the tip the more heat it is able to transfer and the faster you are able to solder. You don't want a capacitor for example to get too much heat, so you want to solder it as fast as you can. With time cheaper flux also starts burning, or you can melt plastic. The "thickest" and still usable head is the "screw driver" one.
A few questions I didn't find in the product info on the Amazon page... 1) Will the hot air gun function with the soldering iron UNPLUGGED from the station (or does the station as a whole signal an unrecoverable error and shut down everything)? 2) Is the hot air gun FAN user-replaceable (if so at what approx cost)? 3) Is the hot air gun ceramic heater element user-replaceable (if so at what approx cost)?
@@YourReviewChannel it is replaceable and the cost of the fan is few bucks two screws on the bottom where the cable is and then there are clips holding the rest together
@@YourReviewChannel also btw you have the temperature set in ferenheit or how is it called to switch into celcius you hold the minus button on the iron and plus on the heat gun i think it should be in the user manual

Love the accent. I'm thinking of getting a 2 in 1 and seen this on Amazon.
Thank you, you will love it
Hi man! I'm planning on buying one. Is it still going strong?

Great question the heat gun will operate if the soldering gun is disconnected. As far as replacing the fan, probably not.
