1982 Brazilian Empire TV Sign-off | Alternate History

- For months now I've been plagued with the unusually specific feeling about this version of the national anthem of the Empire of Brazil and that is that it sounds uncannily like something straight out of an early '80s TV sign-off.
So I got around to tying the ends and made this sign-off for a supposed Brazilian Imperial state-run TV channel.
This, of course, implies the empire somehow survived another 100 years or so up to the 1980's. I'll let you imagine how such a thing may have happened. Feel free to leave a comment about your take on this if you are so inclined.

Thats a really good concept and you nailed the old aesthetics by choosing this song from the 1972 movie Independência ou Morte. I just wish you had showed less waterfalls and more about the different vegetations and major cities of Brazil.

@@Mappinginromania Cisplatina was only part of Brazil for a while and soon both emperors recognized it's independence, so does S.A.I.R Dom Bertrand. But ngl, having it would be a huge economic advantage because we would have more pampas and more control over Rio da Prata.

@@jaimay125 He meant the south of the African Continent ( Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Lesotho, Eswatini and South Africa ) And about the NATO like pact, the other person should have added more details so it wouldnt be misunderstood, the countries in southern africa that would join the pact would have probably been Angola, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

In my gta verse, Brazil stays as an empire. But it does become a constitutional monarchy like it kind of was. But this country is centralized that the island of Molossia becomes the Brazilian republic there and despite the political differences, their cultural similarities would make them remind that they’re children of Portugal. That the heart and spirit of Portugal remains within Brazil and South America as a whole. This Lusotropicalism idea adopted from Portugal would inspire nationalists of Brazil to share the prosperity and wealth with some of the Portuguese colonies by liberating them from Portuguese colonial grip. As the Cold War begins, the USA and USSR are rivaling each other but fate has other plans as the nation of Draka decides to dominate the global south and is the axis power that never surrendered. But instead called for a ceasefire. And Brazil figured out that Draka wasn’t stopping their expansion and not want another world war, Brazil attempts to have the USA and USSR at the table and cease their rivalry for a mightier threat. But the nuclear buildup and ideological clashes prevent them from motivating for peace. And so Brazil must handle the expansionist nation. By ironically expanding its influence beyond South America. Become the anti fascist and anti communist power of its own.
