GPD devices are usually $200+ LESS on indiegogo new device launches (My win Max 2 7840u 64gb 2tb didn't even sales taxes getting it during crowd funding). Also, the GPD Win 4 and Win Max 2 both support 2280 SSDs (Win Max 2 actually has an additional 2230). AFAIK the ROG Ally and the Steam Deck each only have have a single 2230 SSD, which would limit you to a 2tb ATM. 2280s come in 4tb single sided (with the more reliable TLC storage). From what I've read you may even be able to squeeze a double sided 8tb in the GPD Win 4.
Put a screen oled it makes more room for a bigger battery can be with windows 11 and with the screen that tilts to 45°as on the ayaneo slide and it will be perfect.
Hi, I ordered the white 8840u model and it came today but did not come wrapped in plastic and had windows 11 activated. Is this intended, the one you unboxed was different? I ordered from the GPD Official Store on Aliexpress.
@@UrdnotAkongo The RGB on any handheld PC can be turned off to save battery power. And RGB on the joysticks is not something that takes up that much space. GPD provides excellent battery management and does not require a larger battery
Very nice but for that money I can buy a different one just as powerful for a lot less. With the steam deck rog ally and the others not sure who’s buying these. What they need to do is build one that’s about the price of a steam deck with specs about the same and then a middle range one that’s close to the specs for those. And more people would buy from them and keep buying the ones they can afford. 1000 bucks is a lot for something that can’t be upgraded and in a few months they will release a better one

Gpd and other Chinese small companies can't spend own money like steam, which can coverings steam deck price by my money fro the game shop. It's capitalism, Karl Marks bro)
