I was today years old when I heard this original bassline sample for the first time! It's from Don't Leave Me This Way - Teddy Pendergrass !! Couldn't believe it!
22 years ago 😱 Not only is it a classic classic tune, it's a great tune to mix into your set, that bass line just grooves into place, massive love for this record ❤❤❤❤❤
@@raytracer2651 what you're 26 now or the tune 😁 only messing 🤗 Yes it still holds up as a classic tune, I'd be very proud if I'd have wrote this song.
@@raytracer2651 I'm 59 and would not want to be any younger, otherwise we'd have missed out on those times, I'm going to the Stay Up Forever 30th birthday party in a few weeks and can't wait 😁
Here listening to this classic after watching True Romance and remembering an Alex P & Brandon Block Essential Mix that sampled the “I guess he thought it was white boy day” line throughout but also was the first time I heard this tune. Have now just found that mix so more quality listening on the way to work tomorrow. 😁
I have this on an old mix CD called "C L U B C U T Z 97 - Mixed by Graham Gold" that I bought in Paris on my high school French trip. Possibly the same album you're thinking of?
not much you can say about the quality of this , been with me since it came out in 96, cassette , , cd, minidisc , mp3 , youtube, my dreams , locked into eternity
This track is so amazing, such a big tune.. Just before clubbing went too overground, but was just on that superclub level.. I miss those times, but I'm just happy I had the chance to experience it at all.. Mass Mass Massive Choon
Absolute belter! Plenty of attitude. Well structured for a heaving dance floor with a great sound system and lighting show to boot!!! Does that exist anymore? These were the days before mobile phones! DCM Sydney still holds so many great memories for me, the whole night was one big emotional journey and a lot of sweating. I miss those days. It’s just not the same
Lol I didn't go to DCM back then as it was too hi nrg for me, but I can say that this tune was getting canned at all the big Sydney clubs at the time, Sublime (Pitt Street version) Decadence, love, Sabotage, you name this track was killing it
I’ve only just recently heard this tune & it’s pure music !!.. & reading some of the comments it was from the mid nighties .. I must of missed it because I was still coming down from the late 80’s early 90’s🤣 That’s my excuse anyway ..
Brilliant tune - I was far too off my tits to notice when I was younger, but ... starting at 3:25 is that a sample taken from AA's 'Fat Cat' off the 'Tales of Ephidrina' LP?
Top Tier Music ❤
R I P Shem Mccauley, your music will be forever etched on my soul.
Pete Wardman Kiss FM December 1996 was the first and last time I heard this. Bloody brilliant.

Quality house from the mid nineties. The track is 20 years old and beats 99.9% of the shit of today. Hypnotising videoclip.

Is that a sample from Peter Gabriel's Of these hope on the Passion soundtrack I hear?

Yes it is.
