    Great video! Thanks for all the information. I now know why my 2006 Z saved me on the expressway. Once I was travelling in the center lane of the 202 expressway in Phoenix and came upon a Semi stopped dead in the center lane. I was traveling 65 MPH and started pumping my brakes to warn people behind me. I then pressed hard. The Z stopped within 6 feet of semi trailer. MY Z SAVED ME! ❤

      @@fullthrottleperformance I have an idea for your next video! So I'm planning on taking my 350z to the track sometime soon, however I want to do an 'inspection' to make sure everything is 'ok' and 'safe' for me to track it without worrying too much that something will break after 5 hard laps rendering the car unsafe/unusable and writing off the whole day. I was planning on taking the car to a mechanic to do the inspection but I don't know one that I trust enough or one that knows a lot of 350's. Could you do a 'track inspection' video plus a list of things to prep the car for the track? That would be so awesome and very helpful! :)

    Appreciate your honesty 🙏 Just upgraded my complete suspension system (Tien Shocks/Springs, Hoskins Sway, Whiteline Endlinks & SPG Control Lower & Kinetic Racing Upper Frt & Rr Arms). This before doing any engine mods, bc suspension was eating tires on frt driver side. Let me tell you...the car handling is ridiculous & responsiveness on the dime.

    Very great video. I hear (i think) rear passenger side tinging or like rocks in a wheel well sound at low speed over bumps like when pulling in and out of a driveway. Little bit up to speed over "some" bumps. Is this something in the suspension or some plastic piece in my trunk area? It almost sounds like it could be the rear strut tower. Let me know if you have any ideas where to start. I didn't notice it at all 3 days ago, but now I do (maybe because windows were down.)

    That sound is similar to the wheel bearing when is necessary to replace It, but i already did It and the noise remains in my car😪.

      Awesome! I'm glad to hear that I'm able to help you out! The first thing I was thinking of when you started was the wheel bearing, but since you've already replaced it, I don't know. Yeah, best thing to do would be lift it up and see if anything else is wrong. However, it could just be the type of tire you're using as well, different grades of tires have different road noise. Try looking up on google, the type of tire.... "_____ road noise" and see what comes up.

    I've got an 03 350z with the non-brembo brakes, do you think it's better to go buy remanufactured brembo brakes (caliper, stoptech slotted rotor, stoptech pads, ss lines) or go with the 06-09 brakes you mentioned in the video? I can go upgrade my whole brake system for somewhere around $500 if I go with the brembos or would it be better to go get a used 06-09 set off of another 350z? Also very informative video, I just bought a front suspension bushing kit from Z1 that replaces a lot of what you mentioned in the video I just need to find a shop with a press since I don't have one :/

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance 5 років тому +2

      It's all preference, the Brembo brakes look really nice, and perform well. However, the 06-09 Z33 brakes perform pretty much just as well. It also depends on what you'll be using the car for, if you track your car often, maybe the brembos are a better option. But in all reality they're comparable to the 06-09 brakes, but like anything else, make sure you do your own research and base your decision from yourself. I'm just saying everything out of personal opinion, and experience. I love the way the brembos look, however, I know personally the braking power doesn't differ much from 06-09 brakes, and brembos...

      It's just not very common, unless the car has been involved in some type of accident involving the suspension. The boots do start to tear over time, but I've never seen anything catastrophic from the uppers

    I can never find any how to videos for my 2004 FX35 and I'm also having some issues with the cars handling, it's like there is a slight play in the steering and when I hit a bump in the road the car jumps from side to side. Kind of scary when you're on the freeway. Also when I pull out of my garage and I turn hard left or right while using the brakes, I hear a loud whine.
    My question is, I think my bushings could be worn and does the 2004 FX35 have the same suspension as the G35?

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance 5 років тому

      I think the FX35 has a very similar setup, engine is the same, etc. For the suspension, almost all vehicles have control arms, and ball joints, so this video is pretty relative to all vehicles. It was just performed on a z:) Best bet is to get up under there and check it out

Much better old school. Taco trucks can not cook in this method due to sanitary California's laws. LOL. By the way, thanks for the nice video.

      Thanks John for your response, and yes, whenever you lower a car significantly you change the camber and toe as a side-effect. That's why people delete the spring buckets on the rear because the toe changes significantly, and makes driving irritating

      I 100% agree, between the Brembo's and Akebono's there's a noticeable difference. At least for me, but thats just my opinion. I may be going back to stock brakes soon tho, because the mounting bracket hardware contacts my coilovers at full lock now that I have an angle kit.

      Lmao your shock absorber may be bad on the lower side, or the spring mounts(the little rubber pieces that hold the spring) may be out of place on the higher one. Check out the shock absorber if it has any debris stuck on it(like oil looks when leaking from the bottom of an engine, and dirt comes into contact with it), or if it looks wet, it may be leaking and causing the car to sag on that side. It could've also been in a collision before, and had improper frame work. But honestly, it's probably just the shock absorber. If it's not that, and you find the issue let me know, even though I've had a lot of these cars, I still don't know everything, of course.
