- In this video Caleb, Evan and myself assisted the Sumter County Sheriffs Dept in recovering a Toyota truck that was reported stolen 35 years ago in a pond. That ol'l boy was trying to fight you every step of the way. I felt bad for you! I never knew it would take so much just to get a vehicle out of the water. But I know the water, the sand and the silt adds a whole bunch of weight to that job. You guys did a great job!

Skidsteer in trouble again. 😂 We had to rescue 3 skidsteers with wincbox in last month. They winch them self so deep that they cant get out anymore. You guys did great with what you had left. Sometimes it is just a wrong day...sort off everything goes wrong from the moment you wake up. 😅 It is important you did it anyway. You never quit...that is the important part...and nobody got hurt. Still a good day in my book.

@@SumterWrecker 43:25 Mr. Hal, Look at it the other way. Even with all of the trouble you had, you guys still won because you didn’t quit.
I had a friend who made a boom for his skid steer for a project. I said, "too bad you don't have an electric winch so you could drop the panel straight down" and he got to thinking and he had a winch off of an old rollback and mounted it to his boom.
If it wasn't for CHALENGING DAYS we would not have great ones. Good job and stay Safe!!

If you watch the guys on Adventure with Purpose UA-cam site, they have problems with using local wrecker services from time to time. Recently the guys ask for a rotator because you can use the boom height to break suction on the rusty metal while winching. Doesn't always work! Mr. Hal uses what he has and even the Murphy Laws don't keep him from getting the job done. GOOD JOB !!

Awesome recovery! I was just told about your channel and had no idea y'all did this pull, looks like a tough one. We just pulled out a Bronco from the same pond on our other channel @WreckedAndRecovered If I find any other cars underwater around the Sumter area I'll definitely give y'all a shout!

My Opinion the truck should have stayed where it was it looks like it's been in the water for years and i am sure there are more than a dozen other cars in that pond to me it was a waste of time and huge amount of money to get a rusted out truck in the water .. As for a few minor mistakes it was no big deal you had 2 hiccups Whoop - de - doo i think you Mr Even and Mr Caleb did an outstanding job .. Just a suggestion open up the checkbook and go to HF get the biggest and baddest winch they have and get a good size tool box and put all your recovery gear and tools you will always need .... Mr Hal TY for giving us YT fans great content with no BS videos like other channels that edited out all their mistakes .. Take care and enjoy your weekend
