In my opinion he is the modern midlefield.The Real Madrid scouting team, with Juni Calafat, is doing an amazing job during these last years; Valverde, Vinicius, Rodrigo, Camavinga, .... and you can add anothers good players playing now other teams like Kubo, Ibrahim. What a future!!!
Valverde reminds me so much of Di Maria from his final season. A player that slotted into CM just as well as in the forward line, ran his lungs off, and had skill and pace to take on his man. Brilliant player and a bargain for Madrid and their scouting team since he might also count as a homegrown player.
