Of course you'll have to do this about 2 weeks before you're heading to Vegas. Once you're there, it is a sweet feeling to bypass all those other tourists and get settled into your room quickly. You can be gambling, eating or resting while others are getting exasperated and cranky while stil standing in line.

From the Harry Reid International Airport, it is in the lowest cost Taxi Zone 1 of $19. But you could also take an Uber or a local bus to get there.
As an experiment, I took the local bus from the airport. It is not well signed, but it’s easy to find. In the main terminal 1, just go to the ground level 0. Once you step out the door turn to the right and follow the sidewalk to the end there's a bus stop with clearly marked ticket machines. But I highly suggest that before you go to Vegas, you download the free RTC bus app and become familiarized with some of the routes. It includes the very popular Deuce tourist bus with the ability to add funds and buy all sorts of tickets, including the muti-day Deuce passes.
