- Lightning Bolt, July 14th 2002. Show played at The Magic Stick in Detroit, MI. The recording starts abruptly because once Arab On Radar finished their set, Lightning Bolt started to play immediately, because they were set up in the crowd on the right side of the stage. It took me a second to get over there, but I got a pretty lucky spot for filming.

I was there & I may still have the cassette boot. Did anyone else out there see LB's previous Detroit show with Pink & Brown at the Gold Dollar and recall the date? Pretty sure Wolf Eyes opened that show too...
Man, I was at the Minneapolis show on this same tour. They pulled the same trick and set up under the stairs at First Ave. It was my first experience with LB and it was one of the most amazing show experiences of my life. I was just thinking about it and thought I'd see if anyone had gotten that show on tape. This was as close as I could find. Must have been a day or 2 before or after.
WOW 2002? I was there at this show, good lord. It was my first experience of this kind. I didn't know what to think at first...I thought all the music was bizarre and out there. By the end of the night...I was sold. It was unbelievable!!

The Locust, Lightning Bolt, Arab on Radar, and Wolf Eyes - at least that was the incarnation of the tour I saw in July 2002 in Worcester, MA. ~One of the most incredible, wildest, most fun shows I’ve ever experienced.
I miss those days and the underground scene then. But I was also 22, so life looked a lot different then.
this is so f'n good, love all their albums but this might be peak LB... what a lineup at that show too!
