There are also translations in Bulgarian "Първите Цветя" by Стефка Берова and in Danish "Det har jeg altid ønsket mig" by Elin(?), and new lyrics in Spanish by Puerto Rican Lucecita (Benítez) as "Un lugar para los dos" (1964) and in Hungarian Dolly Roll as "A szerelemből repetázni szeretnék" (1992). Furthermore, there are four more Finnish translations: "Tahdon olla luonas sun" by Zotch (1977), "Sut tahdoin ihan itsellein" by Pirkko Mannola (1986), "Tyttös olla tahtoisin" by CatCat (1992) and "I only wanna be with Juice" by Turo's Hevi Gee (1999).
The Spanish/Mexican, German, Chinese, Finnish and Czech replays are not covers but new/different translations.
Transitions are much easier, when the tempo or volume are at least nearly equal - or the performers are the same.

I'm French and I never knew that "A présent tu peux t'en aller" was an adaptation of an english song. Though the version I'm more familiar with isn't the one by Les Surfs, but the one by Richard Anthony (both from 1964).
It's interesting to note that the French adaptation is the first one to turn what's originally a love song into a breakup song ("A présent tu peux t'en aller" roughly translates to "Now you can go away").
I've just started watching the 90s TV show "Ally McBeal" (which I highly recommend, by the way), and in the episode I just watched (1x06), Vonda Shepard did a wonderful rendition of "I Only Want to Be with You". I think I like her version the most.
