    This frizziness in the ends of the hair is called protein overload. It obviously happens when you put too much protein on your hair. And also doesn't matter what shampoo or mix you're washing your hair with you should wash only the scalp and over shoulders area. ❤️🍄💙

    I’m currently using the rye flour method. And I learnt that using whole rye flour, leaves flakes in you hair... it’s ok though they fall out after your hair is dry. They brush right out. I switched to light rye flour so you don’t have the husks of the rye that get stuck in your hair.

    Okay so about the chickpea flour yes! It’s very drying so make sure u don’t use in the hair shaft
    Mix come with water and apply ONLY TO THE ROOTS
    Or u can do like a oil treatment to ur hair and scalp and then later rinse it off with a good amount of chickpea flour(both shaft and scalp) which will kind of balance out the drying effect.
    But it’s super hard to find out the right amount of oil and chickpea needed to completely wash it off so play around until u have an idea

    I love the rye flour method. I double sift it so I don't have any flakes, and I lay back in a basin of water to rinse/float it out. Never have any flakes and my hair gets super soft. For reference, I have waist length hair. I also add some essential oils for a bit of fragrance. I love sweet orange oil. I finish with a very dilute rinse of apple cider vinegar (1 tbsp to 2 cups) again with a few drops of essential oil. Hair is clean, fragrant and soft. Love no poo!!

    • @Phantom_Glitch

      Do you use the apple cider vinegar rinse on all of your hair? Or just the length?

    • @Caneques8
      @Caneques8 4 роки тому +2

      @@Phantom_Glitch I use it mostly on the length. I use a mason jar that I dip the length of one side in then the other. Then kind of pour it over the top layer on my head, trying to keep it off my scalp. Also it's the ACV with the mother.

    Hi! I'm struggling with the same problem, been on no poo for a few months now, and I'm currently using rye flour to wash my hair. What I found is that the ends of my hair don't need washing, only the scalp, so I would recommend that to you. Also a hair mask or a deep conditioning oil treatment helps with the frizziness, I found that coconut oil really makes it soft and shiny, but just in a small amount because it's hard to wash it out. I'm eager to see your results with the other methods, good luck! ☺️

    I've been no poo for over 3 years now, however I do use soap (natural homemade lye soap) and shampoo bars so I know for some maybe that doesn't count as no poo haha. I started with baking soda and vinegar and IT WAS HORRIBLE! It made my hair soooooo dry, strawlike and tangled by the end of 2 weeks I couldn't even get a wide-toothed comb through it. I had no problems at all with oiliness it just made my hair so dry and it was so tangled it looked like a nest. I tried rye flour as well and it made my scalp sooooooo itchy. I don't know why. Maybe I got a batch with mould or fungus in it? Rye does tend to be prone to mould and fungus. Haven't tried chickpea flour yet. I did try clay and I really liked it, it left my hair so soft and silky and I didn't even need conditioner. But I stopped doing it because it's bad for the drains and I already have bad drains as it is, just the way this old apartment is built. What I'm using nowadays is a mixture of soap nuts (aritha), amla, brahmi and sidr (but sidr is optional if you can't get it). But I find with all these methods (except the clay) conditioner is still ESSENTIAL. I dunno why maybe because I have dry curly frizzy self-tangling hair? I do oil my hair before washing it, but I still need conditioner.

    Hey! I loved your videos, no poo method is undoubtedly very effective. But personally, Baking soda and ACV aren't as effective for me as a mixture of Amla (aka Indian Gooseberry), shikakai and soap nuts. It leaves my hair completely clean and removes all the oil as well. I use the powered form of them by mixing amla in the boiled water and shikakai & soap nuts after cooling down a bit. You can also use coffee along with it. I prepare the mixture in an iron utensil and leave it overnight and apply it the very next day. I don't filter the thick crumbs of the mixture because I guess that's how it removes oil. I just leave it for about half an hour and then rinse it off completely. Waiting for your updates on Rhassoul Clay and Rye flour.
    P.S. Amla soaked overnight in an iron utensil may leave a lil bit of black color on your hair. Since my hairs are already black, I've no issues.

    I have not tried this before but if chickpea flour actually has a lot of protein in it like you say, maybe it has caused you a protein overload? Really dry, almost crunchy, straw like hair is often the result of protein overload... some hair types just don’t do well with a lot of protein! Have you figured out a cause in the meantime?

    Girl look at all the volume any hairdresser would be jealous about and you did it a bit wrong
    You sind only put it on your scalp and use a normal conditioner on the ends and oil your ends

    Hey , I was thinking to go no poo as I was experiencing really bad quality hair from few months , I an having hair fall and my hair is not growing quickly as well.But I had a few concerns : How to decide if to go no poo or not ? Are my hair fine enough to have no poo ? Secondly , while I am in the no poo transition , can I use regular shampoo once or twice if I have some special occasion or something. Also I wanted to know if It doesn’t suit my hair or anything like that can I switch back to shampoo after no poo , or will it damage my hair even more?

      I started nopoo in april, so..4 months ago? Maybe start with only natural/organic shampoo 1-2/week or whenever you have to "quickly" wash your hair (look around! it doesn't have to be the most expensive!!) only water method is very time consuming! I need at least 30min. just washing my hair with water only. I also recommend a honey wash about every 2 weeks. I love it! makes my very thin hair very soft. I have shoulder length hais and use 4tsp mixed with 150ml warm water. I usually put the honey in a measuring cup and add the water close to the end of my hair washing (also bring a spoon or something to properly mix the honey and water). then pour the mix over my hair, rub it in and let sit for like a minute or 2. rinse out thoroughly. after I'm done washing I wrap my haisr in an old t-shirt for about 10minutes. I find it makes it easier to comb/brush my hair. when it comes to brushes I'm afraid I can't help. I use a tangle teezer for my wet hair (do not recommend) and a boar bristle brush for my dry hair. I'm unhappy with both. I guess I'll change to a big comb. whatever method you choose, do your research before. be patient and don't pressure yourself! I set myself some timelines. first I thought I'll try this for 4 weeks and see what happens, after that 8 weeks, now I think I'll stay with it until at least october. but maybe I go back to shampoo. no shame in it! enjoy your hair! :-)

    • @akshitajain6642

      Also , I heard that baking soda is not good for scalp in the longer learn and apple cider vinegar lightens your hair color. Are these true?

    • @takktakterakk
      @takktakterakk 4 роки тому +1

      @@akshitajain6642 of course you can go back to normal shampoo whenever you like. so far I haven't heard of a "no poo police" ;-) but I guess you're more worried how your hair will change or if it will change in case you go back. honest answer: I don't know. what I do know is that even if I go back to shampoo, for whatever reason, I won't use the "normal" brands anymore. I'd stay with shampoo that's as natural as possible. you will notice a change, for the better, in the texture of your hair and I imagine normal shampoo will "destroy" that again. also, no poo helped me to finally stop washing my hair everyday,which is a bad idea from the start, ans taught me it's OK to go outside with not super clean hair. nobody cares. seriously. and those people who do care, you don't have to care about. now, baking soda+apple cider vinegar, yes, I too heard it's bad for your hair and scalp in the long run. and I believe it. I tried it once and it did do the trick. but I also never lost that much hair during a wash! I can' t recommend this method. what I do like is putting a little bit of hair oil (not coconut, cloggs the drain), just a tiny bit, in my hair, especially the ends, about 20 min. before I wash my hair. it feels to me like a conditioner. very nice. I don't plan on stopping in october, I just don't wanna put pressure on myself and then feel disappointed if I do stop the water only method. that's all. it's very likely at the moment that i will continue for a long long time, but who knows what will happen. try it, see how it feels for you, if you don't like it stop and maybe try again some other time..or not. it's your hair. you get to do with it whatever feels right to you. :-)

    Biggest mistake:
    If your hairs are dry , mix it with milk cause water will definitely dry out your hairs..
    If you have combination oily scalp dry hairs add yougurt in it , some drops of any nourishing oil also.
    If you have oiliy hairs add some apple cider vinegar in it and yougurt...
    You did it so wrong 🤦we have to put it on dry hairs . So, it is easy for flour to absorb dirt dust, oils , leave it until it's completely dry than wash it off.
    Blow dry your hairs and comb upside down the residue will fall off .
