- In today's episode, I had a conversation with my coach, Jeff Cunningham. We discuss all facets of training and how patience while embracing the hard things is vital for a marathon build. Jeff has been essential to my prep for the California International Marathon and helped me set the conditions to have a successful race day. Sub 2:45, here we come! Enjoy!

so much wisdom in this podcast....as a 10x ironman, I relate to everything Jeff mentions are mistakes we should avoid..
Love Jeff breaking character and being himself on the pod, great content! Small bits of microphone feedback or something buzzing in the background when it gets quiet.
Consistency builds character.
For someone aiming for sub 3 in the near future this is an awesome conversation! Thanks Nick and Jeff
Listening to your podcast has helped me slow my speed down and have great easy runs opposed to listening to high tempo music. The cadence you speak in really helps! Thank you nick!
Jeff is the absolute goat ! Love his wisdom and humility !
Patience and respect is the name of the game. Loved the discussion around sensibilities of priorities and "being all in" vs "being consumed".
Thanks Nick and Jeff for the amazing talk. :)
Patience is name of the game, thanks Nick and Jeff!
Thanks Jeff for the knowledge and thanks Nick for motivating us to execute it 🔥🔥🔥
amazing! thank you for all the information!
Great stuff Nick & Jeff!
Good Luck Nick!
Chew bubble gum and run fast. 🏃🏽♂️💨💨
Look forward to post race podcast.
When you talked about being wound up like a toy before the race it made me think of playing old zelda games and holding the A-button until the sword charged up. Great episode, thanks.
So true about you cannot rush the process with a marathon, I went from running max 5 mile a week to signing up for a marathon with 4 months to train, I completed in 4.12 slight down side as knee has been screwed ever since 😩- take your time and get nutrition right people
Whats the difference between your 415 marathons and the last one; training, rest and so on
💪 💯 🔥
After every sentence Jeff finishes, I have the urge to shout “PARKLIFE”
hahaha "I like tweaking" 😆
Am i too early? i can only watch it in 360p 🙁
Great video but most of this knowledge is very common knowledge through the running world and with hobby joggers to runners to elite runners. Always good to bring it to a conversation though. Honestly prepping among the best to elites is also a standard with runners to diet, sleep, less stress, workouts, nutrition for the sport they are in etc. I've seen that dedication in high school to college to professionals. What i like to bring to lite is the PED's being used along with all the prep, diet, etc in Nicks workouts. For me i wouldn't tune out, id tune in more and be fascinated but again not everything is brought to the light.
Settings the conditions....meaning picking one of the fastest "cheater" courses 😅
