Being Baptized in the water isn't what changes us, it is Jesus Christ.

You are exactly right.We suppose to be baptized,AFTER we believe and are saved,"born again".The water ain't what saves us,the blood of Jesus is.
Excellent testimony! We are all 'weak' in relation to God which is the point of the hymn verse 'We are weak but he is strong' & to come to God we must acknowledge our weaknesses our sin and the need for grace which is our only path to salvation. Some like to think they are too strong to need religion/God but it is exactly that attitude that keeps them separate from God.

To those who are atheists who are trying to get us Christians to see your point think of what you would want. You hate it when we speak about God, but when you guys say stuff we turn our cheeks because that's what God tells us to do (Beatitues and Golden Rule it's in the Bible look it up). Turning your cheek is not weakness it's strength because to all who have knocked this video I forgive you. Just remember we didn't force you to watch this you chose to and I hope it's because God is trying to do things for your life.

I would like to hear Mountain Man explain salvation being something besides being baptized. You must be reborn before you are baptized. The baptism does not produce salvation, it is a testimony of your salvation. The thief on the cross had no opportunity to be baptized but was in paradise with Jesus.
To be baptized you must believe in Jesus. Not knowing him personally, but through his preaching and television, Phil is educated enough and a believer and understands this. I am sure that he checked the box before he dunked the man.

Children in the catholic church are "baptized" without knowledge of the Savior. Anyone can be dunked. Baptism without confession in Christ as Savior is just a bath. I did not hear that in his testimony. If you have, then great.

It does not matter if I think I am good enough to keep my salvation. What matters is whether God deems me faithful, obedient and good enough not to take my salvation away. What makes you think you can be as bad as you want and keep your salvation. Can someone after being saved, lie, steal, murder, rape, cheat on their spouse and still be pleasing to God?

As someone who studied church history, then you should be able to tell us what church was established
on the day of Pentecost and what church was the 3000 that received the word and baptized added to,
and what church is THE CHURCH recorded in the New Testament? Give us one thing that coC teaches that has it’s origin with Pelagius or will you neglect to answer it the same as you never answered the question about Campbellite heritics.

One of many verses that speaks of salvation and yet Acts is full of the examples of conversion and Romans 10:9 is never the final thing command for one to become a child of God. Being in Christ is the final answer and that is shown and taught through out the new testament.

Your statement shows that you understand that reference to being baptized into Christ in Rom 6:3, Gal 3:27 is water baptism. You admonish, the scriptures must be rightly divided, then claim “when we are saved we are baptized in the holy spirit”. Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned. He did not say he that believeth is saved and is baptized.

Please see Acts 2:38. Without forgiveness, how can one be saved? Mark 16:16 says that he who believes and is baptized shall be saved. Baptism is not the only thing that saves, but it is a necessary part of salvation.

The acceptance and repentance faith and change. Is what changes. Just cause someone is baptised doesnt mean their saved. But hey thats why its called a personal relationship with Christ. I just dont want a unsaved person thinking baptism alone saves them. I hope ive made myself clear. Im not good at explaining over typing.
I do wish that Mountain Man had separated the act of water baptism from the placing of one's faith in the blood of Christ for salvation. Salvation occurs when someone places his faith in the work of Christ on the cross. Water baptism is simply an outward expression of a faith and repentance that have occurred within the human will.
the difference is that they are Church of Christ, and Church of Christ believe baptism is salvation, to them salvation is Jesus, plus, not Jesus alone.
Mountain Man is awesome, Duck Dynasty is one of the few shows that showcases good Christian families in prime time (perhaps the only?) and one of the handful of shows my kids are encouraged to watch (on pvr because of school night airings)
i agree the family dinners i love seeing that. when i was growing up we always ate dinner as a family and every one thought it was wierd

This show is truly a blessing from God almighty. The #1 show in the world and all the Robertson's are as christian as can be. I hope it is helping to spread the word of Jesus Christ to kids my age as much as it has to me. I have always been a true Christian, go to church every week, but this show helps me in my hard times by showing the path through God. God bless y'all.

You get Baptized to obey the commandment given, God washes away sins, Being immersed in water is the way the first Christians obeyed the gospel message. Romans 6 tell us that a NEW man arises from the obedient act of water baptism, That new man was and is continually cleaned by the blood of Christ and has the Holy Spirit given to him at that moment.

Captivating, I'm pretty much Agnostic, but I was engrossed watching this video, normally I have little patience for this sort of thing, but I watched the whole presentation. I think this says a lot for Mountain Man as a speaker on religion. Could be powerful secret weapon fir the Duck Commander crew and their message. Disarming I guess, in a word.
The Holy Spirit was speaking through him. Mountain Man is a willing vessel & that's what God desires. He can use anyone, anywhere.

As a born again Christian, husband, and a father of 3 this is the one show me and my family sit down and watch weekly. I do not have to worry about my boys being exposed to vulgar language, nudity, or any of that other garbage that other TV shows seem to have. For those who don't know him they try to fit societies form which will only cause us grief and sorrow. For us Christians we know we don't have to be perfect because God loves us for us, but people won't love you for you they will hate you for you. Mike McG. Jesus isn't a religion. Catholic, baptist Mormon Muslim and the like are religions. Faith in Christ is like your faith in science. You just don't know because religion is weak & people incorporate Jesus as religion. He did NOT come to create a religion. God had one Son. Believe in Him & eternal destination is with Him. Not difficult. People screw it up because of religion. No religion. Just an awesome Creator.. I'll drink a beer and talk bout that with ya..
