Aha! Skp/Escapee. Got it! 😜 And I must say, extremly great content this! I'm binging the whole channel. Learning something (a lot) new from every video you guys are uploading. Keep them coming! Cheers from Sweden!
Could you cover the how to import pdf files onto windows pc. Also what is the best method to import CAD drawings into layout? And can we import vector files, with text without having to resize all the text boxes when we do resize or rescale?
So grateful for these tips! Please give us more 😀 Can you please give some information on how the size of the imported file impacts on the LO file - tips on reduce the size on the file before you import?
This is great. If i wanted to create a set of woodworking plans with sketchup drawings and dimensions, parts list, finished product jpg, and step by step instructions what would be workflow? All in layout? Can layout float text around a viewport?
Good vid, thanks. Talking of quick edits - I often find myself wanting to crop imported images on the fly. I might be trying to fit things on a layout page and to be able to do lill crop here and there would be so useful....
After creating a layout presentation, Is it OK to change the location of the original sketchup file or any other file i inserted in the layout to anther folder, And will they still be connected to the layout file i created,..!! Or i have to update there new location from the document setup !!!
I managed to sync from a Google sheets file to an Excel file on my desktop. So far so good; any changes to the Sheets file will update the Excel. I tried to sync that Excel file to Layout, which was also OK, but it didn't update Layout when I changed a word in Sheets. Am I trying to do something which is essentially impossible? :D
Did you save the Excel file after you made the change? LayOut can only see what has been saved out to the file, it cannot look at what Excel is showing.
All wonderful, but you STILL cannot import a PDF. I have tons of product data sheets that need to be included with my drawings and the only way to do that is to convert them to JPG first. Kind of archaic....
You are freaking awesome! Thanks to your videos I've jumpstarted my sketchup & layout skills within a month's time. THANKS!

Did not know about that click on "Edit" within the Document Setup >> References window with its automatic Layout update trick. Nice!

Hello and thanks for this Playlist. I guess the only way to import a Spreadsheet is .XLSX IS there a way to use Google Sheets?
Nice Job Aaron that has a lot of application with the result of saving time.
Excellent video (and the new[?] quaff is nice, too). BTW, are these four file types the limit of what LayOut can display or are there others?

Great series guys. Can you set layout to automatically update any files that have changed since last opened to save having to manually update?
Hi Arron, how can LayOut be used for PPA Drawings or not ?
