What Hollyn does or doesn't do is between her and God. We have NO right to judge her (especially since I highly doubt any of us know her personally and her Christian walk). If you guys actually listened to her album there's plenty of "Christian" songs to listen to. She's not singing about drugs, or sex, or partying... she's singing about LOVE and I for one, believed that's what GOD is .. "Love". So let's stop with the judgement and criticism and love/pray for her instead. :/

So as I scroll through the comments and read them, all while listening to the song (multiple times), a few different things come to mind. First of all, that I love God, and that I love Hollyn for using the gift God truly gave her. Second, I think about what music means to me and how it has saved me from some of the most confusing and heart wrenching parts of my life and that music has done the same for many other people. The third thing I think about is this: Many people have posted comments on her new songs saying that there not "christian" or that they don't glorify God, but haven't we all been in a place where God has given us something whether it's a boy/girlfriend, a new pair of shoes or simply just the clothes on our back that we have wanted to sing and dance about. Maybe not in a way that makes sense to everyone but in a way that makes sense to us and God. That's God's Joy ya'll!!! God never wants us to not sing. On her new album Hollyn sings about God, and tragedy and love and feelings and life experiences and quite frankly I think God smiles down on us when he hears these songs(not just Hollyn's but others as well). Because in her own way Hollyn is singing to these things that are in her life either building her up or tearing her down, and telling God how she feels. Everyone has a different way of believing and EVERYONE has a different way of communicating to God, no matter how you believe. I'm sorry if anyone is offended by this but I also know that some people will read this and it will touch their heart. Guys (and ladies) we are called to reach out to the lost and use our gifts to do so, there are people who are leading people to Christ every day through music and sometimes those songs might not sound all Godly and Christian but God uses them to reach out and touch the hearts of his children. By no means am I saying that all secular music is okay and glorifies God in any way but I'm just saying that when you know someone is Christian and lives to praise his name, stop saying their new songs are not because they write a few songs that just happen not to mention God specifically.

For anyone feeling uneasy toward the lyrics of this song, my interpretation is to use this song for when you are waiting for the right person that God has for you. When you get that confirmation you are with the right person, you truly only want to give all your love to that one person, not by infatuation but by covenant you make together for a Godly relationship. I hope this different perspective eases any worried hearts.

A couple threads on here are trying to get at Hollyn's faith journey. I really think that's hers to tell.
That said, the conversation on this song needs to ask if it is healthy or good to give "all my love" to a person you are not fully committed to for life. After you've given it all, can you take it back and give it to someone else?
Hollyn's comments make it sound like that is not the case with her relationship, but it is worth asking what it means to give all your love to someone and how this process happens in a healthy relationship (which Christian artists have an amazing opportunity to speak into what secular relationships are missing)

kerina chandoo I don't think we have to worry that she'll drift. As someone who writes songs myself, Christians don't always need to write songs directly about God. They can also write songs about life, or love, in this case. I believe you can write a song about whatever you want or what is going on in your life, but it should be written from a Christian perspective. Just my two cents, please don't hate :)
Marissa Tykac a lot of her songs are non gospel lately so im afraid that she would get caught up just writing more "positive" music rather than gospel songs.... thats how some artistes start to drift
people are to worried about others and whether they're going to drift or whatnot instead of worrying about themselves. As Christians we all go through things in life and Satan tries to attack us to win our soul, therefore we need to make sure our spirits are protected and not so caught in a song that isn't promoting anything bad at all. There are people out there who need our help we need to be worried about them and spreading the gospel. Not worrying about Hollyn whose doing what God destined her to do. The name of the album is one way conversations. She's expressing many of her experiences and feelings in this album.

I love this song. I didn't think it was about any other love except God's love until I saw the comments here. Only the Lord knows the real intention behind this song but I'll keep hearing the perspective I'd originally thought it was sung according to. Is it possible that this was written from the perspective that it is someone singing for us to leave everything behind as that person is giving us all his love? However we'll have to test every Spirit against the Word of God.
