I have an American Akita as well. Best dog breed ever! He is 11 and has been the best dog I’ve ever had! So quiet and polite, only makes noise when necessary. Love your videos!

You are camping in an area where I could be found. Here in Florida , I camp the swamps because no one else does and I can have the solitude of being out there. Been doing it over 60 years and my hammock today is the Warbonnet Blackbird. It lets me lay flat on a diagonal and packs small. In the late 50's I stared with a U.S.Army's Jungle Hammock that my Dad had and I still have it. Love you camping partner , great choice.

This is simple camping, not survival , all about perspective...For the past 20 years I have spent 10 months at a time in the Colorado backcountry with just a medium size backpack, no tents etc., Fall, Winter, and Spring, the more one knows the less one needs. I've seen many of these so called 3 day "Survival" shows , they remind me of the books published in the 50s 60s 70s, called correctly....camping....and I see the big trend in survival skills shows too. All good and well, I am 60 years old now and still like to ( even though I am set in my ways and still all my gear fits into a small daypack) learn a new trick or two..but there is a big difference between survival and camping, learn them both . When i was a kid my dream was to spend a year in the backcountry for a year straightwith only what i could carry in my clothes pockets, i spent all my free time "camping" learning and practicing "skills". I failed on several attempts until in my early 30s, now there is no camping/ survival, just adventure and fun. I guess its all just perspective, use camping to learn survival skills,
